Product Usage Instructions

To use the EK-5 Evaluation Kit, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the necessary power supply to the J7 and J8 connectors. Use +12V or +24V for the LNR and 12V for the GXClock-500.
  2. If required, adjust the external frequency using the J2 connector and switch SW4. The FA pin is connected to pin 6 of the LNR, and the Vref out is connected to pin 7.
  3. Select the desired working mode using SW1, SW2, and SW3. The top position represents Free run, the middle position represents Sync, and the bottom position represents Track.
  4. If using the LNR, you can fine-tune the frequency using the potentiometer P1 in association with switch SW4.
  5. Connect any necessary external devices or interfaces to the appropriate connectors (J4, J5, J6, J10, J11, J12, J13, J14, J17, J19).
  6. If required, connect the board to a PC using the serial RS232 interface (J19) and a straight cable.
  7. Observe the LED indicators (L1, L2, L3, L4) to monitor the power supply status, tracking status, Rubidium line lock status (LNR), and PPS Ref tick.
