Product Usage Instructions

  1. Turn off the circuit breaker to the spa and allow the UV-C bulb to cool.
  2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the Water Hose Barb Clamp 1 and Bulb Boot Clamp 2 as shown in Fig. A.
  3. Lift the white Quartz Chamber 4 slightly out of its cradle to facilitate the next steps.
  4. Refer to Fig. B and disconnect the old UV-C Bulb 5 by gently pulling on the Bulb Plug Boot 3.
  5. Slide the old UV-C Bulb 5 out of the Quartz Chamber 4 and set it aside. Note: the original bulb may have come with a black rubber end cap for shipping protection, which is not needed for the new bulb.
  6. Remove the new UV-C Bulb 5 from its packaging, being careful not to touch the glass portion with bare hands to avoid shortening bulb life. Slide the bulb most of the way into Quartz Housing 4 with pins facing outward.
  7. While firmly grasping the white bulb end 5 with two fingers, reconnect the Bulb Plug Boot 3, ensuring that the bulb pins align and seat into the boot socket by rotating the bulb slightly if needed.
  8. Push the Bulb Plug Boot 3 securely into the Quartz Chamber 4.
  9. Reach the Water Hose Barb Clamp 1 and Bulb Boot Clamp 2 with a screwdriver as shown in Fig. A.
  10. Turn on the circuit breaker to restore spa power.
  11. Hold down the Reset Button 6 and both LED lights will flash yellow. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds until both lights turn green.

DANGER: TURN THE SPA CIRCUIT BREAKER TO THE OFF POSITION!

WARNING: ALLOW BULB TO COOL DOWN PRIOR TO REMOVING FROM QUARTZ CHAMBER.

DANGER: NEVER LOOK AT THE LIT BULB. THIS CAN CAUSE SEVERE EYE DAMAGE OR BLINDNESS.

ASSEMBLY

  1. Turn off circuit breaker to spa and allow UV‐C bulb to cool.

  2. [Refer to Fig. A] Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove Water Hose Barb Clamp 1 and Bulb Boot Clamp 2.

  3. Lift the white Quartz Chamber 4 slightly out of its cradle to facilitate the next steps.

  4. [Refer to Fig. B] Disconnect the old UV‐C Bulb 5 by gently pulling on the Bulb Plug Boot 3.

  5. Slide the old UVC‐Bulb 5 out of the Quartz Chamber 4 and set aside.*
    Note: the original bulb may have come with a black rubber end cap for shipping protection. It is not needed for the new bulb.

  6. Remove the new UV‐C Bulb 5 from its packaging, being careful not to touch the glass portion with bare hands. (Oil from your skin can cause a “hot spot” on the glass, shortening bulb life). Slide bulb most of the way into Quartz Housing 4 with pins facing outward.

  7. While firmly grasping the white bulb end 5 with two fingers, reconnect the Bulb Plug Boot 3, being careful to align and seat the bulb pins into the boot socket by rotating bulb slightly as needed.

  8. Push Bulb Plug Boot 3 securely into Quartz Chamber 4.

  9. [Refer to Fig. A] Reattach the Water Hose Barb Clamp 1 and Bulb Boot Clamp 2 with screwdriver.

  10. Turn on circuit breaker to restore spa power.

  11. Hold down Reset Button 6 and both LED lights will flash yellow. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds until both lights turn green.
