TCS Basys TS3020 Room Mount Averaging Temperature Sensors
Product Information
The Room-Mount Averaging Temperature Sensors TS3020 and TS3030 are designed to measure and reflect the average room temperature in multiple zones. These sensors are not interchangeable with the TS3000 sensor, which is specifically designed for use in a single zone.
Mounting
To ensure accurate temperature readings, it is recommended to mount the
averaging sensors on an interior wall that reflects the average room
temperature. The ideal mounting location is approximately five feet above the
finished floor.
Avoid mounting the sensors in unventilated locations, areas exposed to direct sunlight, unusual heat sources, windows, and open doors.
Mounting Steps:
- Attach the mounting plate directly to a block or drywall using the included mounting screws and anchors.
- After completing the wiring, attach the front housing to the mounting plate using the two embedded hex screws and the included Allen wrench. Insert the Allen wrench through the holes on the front of the sensor. Turn each Allen wrench counter-clockwise to bring the halves together.
Sensor Wiring
The averaging sensors should be connected to UbiquiSTAT’s T1 port and wired
together in series to achieve averaging of the temperature zones between them.
Wiring Instructions:
Refer to the provided diagram for wiring connections.
- Connect the averaging sensors to the T1 port of the UbiquiSTAT.
- Wire the sensors together in series for temperature averaging.
- Ensure proper polarity when connecting other components as indicated in the diagram.
Note:
Averaging sensors are non-polarity sensors, and the wiring colors in the
diagrams are for illustrative purposes only.
