The Keep Warm button will illuminate with one beep, and then the kettle will slowly heat the water to the selected temperature. Note that the water will not be heated as quickly as when the boil function is used. The display will show the actual water temperature according to the temperature you selected It is normal for the displayed temperature to fluctuate a few degrees on either
side of the set temperature. -
Once the water has been heated to the selected temperature, the kettle will enter keep warm mode and will occasionally switch on and off in order to maintain the selected temperature.
-
To cancel the keep warm mode, either press the Start / Keep Warm button or lift the kettle off of the power base.
TO HEAT WATER: There are 2 options
-
If you wish to start a boil cycle, press the “Start” button.
212°F / 100°C appears directly on the screen, the kettle beeps and starts heating the water. The kettle beeps twice once the water temperature reaches 212°F / 100°C. -
If you wish to select the desired temperature ‒ 4 possible settings: 105°F /40°C – 155°F / 68°C – 175°F / 79°C – 195°F / 90°C ‒ press the Keep Warm button until it displays the temperature you wish to select. If the temperature of the water in the kettle is higher than the temperature you select when pressing the keep warm button, the heating won’t start.
For instance, if the water temperature is 195°F, you won’t be able to launch the heating by selecting 105°F, 155°F or 175°F.

- The display will show the temperature of the water during boiling and the keep warm period. Note that it is normal for the displayed temperature to fluctuate a few degrees on either side of the set temperature.
- If a low temperature is selected, the kettle may not have sufficient time to cool down to this temperature during the 2-hour keep warm period.

USING YOUR KETTLE
Although all teas actually come from the same bush (camellia sinensis), their taste and type vary according to their region of production, method of processing (different fermenting, and drying processes and rolling techniques exist) and grade (whole or broken leaves, fannings and dust).
- Green tea: Rolled dried leaves, which are chopped and lightly roasted to prevent them from fermenting. Leave to brew for 3 minutes only. Green teas are subtle- flavoured, often bitter, and very pale in color.
- Black tea: Made from older leaves that are rolled, dried, and fermented for a considerable period. Brew for 5 minutes (or longer for Turkish or Russian tea). Gives a powerful taste and a superb coppery color.
- Oolong tea: Midway between green and black tea. Slightly fermented. Brew for 7 minutes. Lighter in taste and paler than black color.
- Although purists drink tea plain, you may prefer to add cold milk to your cup before pouring in the tea (with Indian or Ceylon tea) or add sugar and then lemon (with green or flavouredteas).

CLEANING
Warning: Always unplug the kettle from the socket and allow it to cool completely before cleaning or descaling it.
- Clean the exterior surface of the kettle with a damp cloth and then polish it with a soft dry cloth. Do not use steel wool pads or harsh/abrasive cleaners, which may damage the body.
- Do not immerse the power base or power cord in water or liquid of any kind.
- This kettle features a concealed heating element which means it never comes into contact with the water inside the kettle. This hygienic design not only makes cleaning the inside of the kettle much easier, it also keeps cleaning to a minimum.
- Although the kettle is designed for the element to remain scale-free, in hard water areas, the scale may still build up on the base. Therefore, it is very important that you descale regularly using a proprietary descaler. Not doing so will spoil the appearance and efficiency of the kettle and could result in the failure of the appliance. Not descaling as advised could void your warranty.
- Use a proprietary descaling product and always follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully when descaling the kettle.
To de-scale your kettle
Using white vinegar which can be bought from hardware stores: ‒ Fill the
kettle with ½ litre of white vinegar, ‒ Leave to stand for 1 hour without
heating.
Using citric acid:
- Boil ½ litre of water,
- Add 25 g of citric acid and leave to stand for 15 min.
IN THE EVENT OF PROBLEMS
THERE IS NO EVIDENT DAMAGE TO YOUR KETTLE

- Descale first if the scale has accumulated.
- Switch it on the kettle should start working again after about 15 minutes.
IF YOUR KETTLE HAS BEEN DROPPED, IF IT LEAKS OR IF THERE IS VISIBLE DAMAGE TO

to comply with the instructions for use is not covered by the guarantee.
- The manufacturer reserves the right to modify the characteristics or components of its kettles at any time in the interests of the consumer.
- Do not use the kettle if damaged. No attempt must be made to dismantle the kettle or its safety devices.

PREVENTION OF DOMESTIC ACCIDENTS
For a child, a burn or scald, even if slight, can sometimes be serious. As
they grow up, teach your children to beware of hot liquids to be found in the
kitchen. Position the kettle and its supply cord well to the rear of the work
surface, out of the reach of children. If an accident does occur, run cold
water over the scald immediately and call a doctor if necessary. In order to
avoid any accident: do not carry your child or baby at the same time as
