What is the max distance they will work?

3-4 mile in open air, 2-3 mile in city

What are programable frequencies?

400-470mhz, you may use attached prg cable to program them.

If they work out of the box why would I want or need to program them?

They work out of box themselves, don’t need to program them, except you want them to work with other brand or model

Can you program or enter the freqhncies via the keypad? What is the freqhency range that one can trasmit and recieve on? 420 to 470 mhz? Rx and tx?

it can only programming by cable as it without keypad to input frequency, the frequency range is 400-470mhz RX and TX. It already included programming cable in the package.

If i use the rt-10 inside the plant, can i also program two or three rt-67 units for outdoor use to the same channels?

Yes, if the frequency and CTCSS/DCS is same, the two models can communicate.

Are these ready to go out of the box?

Yes you may use it immediately out of box.

How to i connect radio to computer for programming? i have the usb cable, software installed and file from previous rados.

Never did that they have worked fine for us.
