tp-link-EAP113-Outdoor-300Mbps-Wireless-N-Outdoor-Access-Point-
product

Product Information

The product is an Indoor/Outdoor Access Point (EAP) manufactured by TP-Link. It comes with a mounting bracket for the EAP, a passive PoE adapter (excluding EAP113-Outdoor model), self-tapping screws for the adapter, antennas, plastic wall anchors, power cord (excluding EAP113-Outdoor model), waterproof rubber insert, pole mounting strap, shielded Ethernet port LAN, and a RESET button.

The EAP provides lightning and ESD protection for safety and requires proper grounding when used outdoors. It supports shielded CAT5e (or above) cable for connection to reduce ESD attacks.

The hardware installation options include pole mounting or wall mounting using the provided mounting bracket. The antennas need to be connected to the EAP and positioned at 45-degree angles for optimal Wi-Fi performance.

The SYS LED on the device indicates different statuses through different flashing patterns. The LED flashes green twice to indicate initialization completion, solid green for normal operation, yellow for system errors, yellow and green for firmware update in progress, quickly yellow and green for device reset to factory default settings, and green slowly (only for EAP225-Outdoor) for isolated state.

The product also includes a remote reset feature that can be activated by pressing and holding the RESET button for about 8 seconds until the LED starts quickly flashing yellow and then green, resulting in the EAP being restored to factory default settings.

Option 2: Wall Mounting

  1. Step 1:
Place the mounting bracket (for EAP) in the right position. Mark two positions for the screw holes.
Drill two 6 mm holes for the screws at the marked positions.

  2. Step 2:
Insert the plastic wall anchors into the 6 mm holes. Align the bracket (for EAP) to the plastic wall anchors and drive the self-tapping screws into the anchors through the bracket (for EAP).

  3. Step 3:
Align the mounting tabs on the back of the EAP with the slot of the mounting bracket (for EAP). Push and slide the EAP downward until it locks into place.

  4. Step 4:
