Sollos SCSBTR Blue Tooth Repeater

Product Information

The SCSBTR Blue Tooth Repeater is a device designed for use with 12V low- voltage landscape power systems. It is manufactured by Halco Lighting Technologies, a company specializing in lighting solutions. For more information about the product, visit www.solloslighting.com.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Important Safety Warnings:
   • Before installing the repeater, turn off the system power to reduce the risk of personal shock and injury.
   • Install the repeater at least ten feet away from pools, spas, or fountains to minimize the risk of electric shock.
   • Always use UL-listed wire and wire connectors for connections.
2. Mounting the Repeater:

Locate the Repeater in the desired location.

Wiring the Repeater:
Caution: Turn off the 12V power supply before connecting or disconnecting the repeater power cable. Connecting or disconnecting the repeater to a live circuit may cause permanent damage to the repeater. DO NOT SHORT CIRCUIT the repeater as this may cause permanent damage to the repeater.

1. Disconnect the system power before wiring the repeater.
2. Connect the two repeater wires to the two 12V power source wires using wire connectors that are rated for outdoor use. Note: The 12V power source can be the same as the one connected to the landscape lighting system or a separate 12V power source.
3. Turn on the 12V system power to energize the repeater. The green light on the repeater’s face will illuminate when power is applied.

Operating the Repeater:

1. The green light on the repeater will flash while the repeater is paired with the app. Once the repeater is paired, the green light will remain solid.
2. Multiple repeaters can be used on larger installation areas where connectivity cannot be made. For example, if an installation has multiple lights in different areas of a home, two repeaters may be necessary for full connectivity.
3. To identify the repeaters on the app when multiple repeaters have been added, press the repeater icon on the app. The green light on the corresponding repeater will flash momentarily.

Resetting the Repeater:

1. To reset the repeater and remove it from the app network it has been paired to, press and hold the… (remaining instructions not provided in the text)

Installation Instructions

Important : This device is designed for use with 12V low-voltage landscape power systems.

WARNINGS :
This device must be installed in accordance with the National Electric Code and local code specifications. Failure to follow these codes and installation instructions will void the warranty and may result in serious injury and/or damage to the device. When using this device with multiple landscape lighting fixtures,  do not exceed the total wattage load as specified by the transformer rating. This product is designed for above-ground installation only. Keep these installation instructions for future use.

To reduce the risk of personal shock and injury, turn off the system power before installing the repeater. Install the repeater no less than ten feet from pools, spas, or fountains to minimize the risk of electric shock. Always use UL-listed wire and wire connectors for connections.

MOUNTING THE REPEATER

1. Locate the Repeater in the desired location.
   NOTE : for best connectivity between the repeater and the installed Sollos® ColorSplash® lamps and fixtures, it is recommended to locate the repeater in an area that is the most central location to the installed Sollos® ColorSplash® products.

2. Install the repeater antenna by screwing it into the antenna plug located on the top of the repeater.

3. Use the supplied double-sided tape or screw hardware to mount the repeater.

4. Mount the repeater a minimum of 4″ off of the ground.

5. The Repeater power cable can be routed straight out the back or out the bottom of the unit. For routing out the bottom, press the power cable into the slot on the back of the unit.

WIRING THE REPEATER
Caution : Turn off the 12V power supply before connecting or disconnecting the repeater power cable. Connecting or disconnecting the repeater to a live circuit may cause permanent damage to the repeater. DO NOT SHORT CIRCUIT the repeater as this may cause permanent damage to the repeater.

2.  Connect the two repeater wires to the two 12V power source wires using wire connectors that are rated for outdoor use.
   NOTE : The 12V power source can be the same 12V power source that the landscape lighting system is connected to or it can be powered from a separate 12V power source.

3. Turn on the 12V system power to energize the repeater. The green light on the repeater’s face will illuminate when power is applied.

OPERATING THE REPEATER:

1. Connect and add the repeater to the Sollos ColorSplash® app the same way a Sollos® ColorSplash® lamp or fixture would be added.
2. The green light on the repeater will flash while the repeater is paired with the app. Once the repeater is paired, the green light will remain solid.
3. Multiple repeaters can be used on larger installation areas where connectivity cannot be made. Example: an installation with multiple lights installed in the front, back and side yards of a home may not fully connect to the app with a single repeater, so two repeaters may be necessary. One repeater is mounted in the rear left area and a second repeater is mounted in the front right area (opposite corners of the home)
4. To identify the repeaters on the app when two or more have been added, press the repeater icon on the app. The green light on the corresponding repeater will flash momentarily.

RESETTING THE REPEATER:

1. To reset the repeater and remove it from the app network that it has been paired to, press and hold the button on the face of the repeater for 5-6 seconds. The green light will flash. The repeater will now be able to be paired to a new or existing app network.
2. An alternate method of resetting the repeater is by following the power cycle reset procedure of power On10s/Off5s, 3 times repeat.
   Note : the power cycle reset procedure will reset all Sollos® ColorSplash® lamps and fixtures on the circuit.
