astro A50 Gaming Wireless Headset

Product Information

The product is a wireless microphone designed for use with Xbox One gaming consoles. It features a removable headband and ear cushions for customization and comfort. The microphone has a power switch, EQ switch, and master volume control for adjusting audio settings. The package includes a base station that connects to the console via USB and optical cables. The product also has a USB charging port and charge contacts for recharging the built-in lithium-ion battery.

Product Usage Instructions

Xbox One Setup

  1. Switch the Base Station into Console Mode.
  2. Plug one end of the USB Micro Cable into the Base Station and the other end into the Xbox One console.
  3. Plug one end of the TOSLink Optical Cable into the Xbox One Optical port and the other end into the Opt in port on the Base Station.

PC Setup

  1. Switch the Base Station into PC Mode.
  2. Plug one end of the USB Micro Cable into the Base Station and the other end into your PC.
  3. Connect the headset to the Base Station using the provided USB cable.

Charging
To charge the microphone

  1. Insert the microphone into the Mic Slot on the Base Station.
  2. Connect the Base Station to a power source using the provided USB cable.
  3. The LED indicator on the microphone will turn amber to indicate charging.
  4. Once fully charged, the LED indicator will turn off.

Note: The microphone should be properly recycled or disposed of when no longer in use, as it contains a lithium-ion battery.

  1. Switch Base Station into Console Mode.
  2. Plug USB Micro Cable end into the Base Station & the USB end into the Xbox One.
  3. Plug TOSLink Optical Cable into the Xbox One Optical port & plug the other end into the Opt in port on the Base Station. *Be sure to remove caps on the cable tips
  4. Go into Settings, then ‘Display & Sound’. Under ‘Audio Output’, choose ‘Optical Audio’, and select ‘Bitstream Out’.
  5. Under ‘Audio Output’, choose ‘Bitstream Format’ and select ‘Dolby Digital’.
  6. That’s it! Your A50 Wireless Headset and Xbox One are set up and ready to game!

PC SETUP

  1. Switch Base Station into PC Mode.
  2. Plug Micro end of the Micro USB cable into the Base Station & the USB end into the PC.
  3. avigate to your ‘Playback Device’ settings under the Control Panel option on your PC.
  4. Select ASTRO A50 Game, right click & set as Default Device.
  5. Select ASTRO A50 Voice, right click & set as Default Communication Device.
  6. Navigate to your ‘Recording Devices’ tab in your Sound settings on your PC.
  7. Select ASTRO A50 Voice, right click & set as Default Device & Default Communication Device.
  8. That’s it! Your A50 Wireless Headset and PC are set up and ready to game!

FOR MAC USERS

  1. Switch Base Station into PC Mode.
  2. Plug in the Micro USB from your MAC into the Base Station.
  3. Navigate to your ‘Settings,’ select ‘Sound,’ then ‘Output’ and choose ‘ASTRO A50 GAME.’
  4. That’s it! Your A50 Wireless Headset and MAC are set up and ready to game!
