Recommended Cleaners & Disinfectants
NOTE: Reference the Cleaning Process section in the Product Manuals for
further instruction.
Cleaning and disinfecting an OAKWORKS product is a three part process.
- Clean any visible soil off the surface.
- Disinfect surface per manufacturer’s recommended contact time.
- Rinse off disinfectant with clean water and thoroughly dry with a clean cloth or towel.

A NOTE ON BLEACH:
- 10%, or 1:10 dilution ratio, of sodium hypochlorite (household bleach) is an effective disinfectant but not an effective cleaner.
- Additional cleaner must be used for initial cleaning.
- Bleach must be rinsed with clean water after disinfection.
NOT RECOMMENDED:
- Citrus based cleaners
- Acetone
- Hydrogen Peroxide based cleaners/disinfectants
- Acetic Acid
- Phenolics
- Higher concentrations of bleach
- Unapproved quaternary ammonias (“quits”)
All cleaners and disinfectants have the ability to degrade and damage the upholstery. This information is not guaranteed, however, following the recommended cleaner and disinfectant list and cleaning process will provided the best care for your OAKWORKS products.
