NOTE: Common barriers to avoid completely include mounting to any metal surface or UPVC door frames. Avoid positioning above heat sources such as radiators, or in damp areas such as a kitchen or bathroom. Do not expose either unit directly to rain or immerse in water. Do not locate either unit close to fireplace or expose to high temperatures.
Note the Receiver is suitable for Indoor use only. The Transmitter is rated for exposed exterior locations.

SETUP THE AUTO-LEARNING CODE
What is Auto-learning Code?
The Transmitter sends a wireless signal to the Receiver. The Receiver would
automatically register and memorize the signal as an operation code.
So the Transmitter can work with the Receiver by this code.
Auto-learning Code Set Up – Operation for 1 Transmitter and 1 Receiver
- After battery installation of the Transmitter, Plug the Receiver into a power socket.
- Firstly, select your desired melody. Factory default is ‘DING DONG’ sound.
- Then press and hold the Volume control button on receiver for 5 seconds. The Receiver will sound and light will flash, indicating the device is ready to pair.
- Press the transmitter button once. Pairing will be confirmed by playing of selected melody.
Expanding your system
You can pair up to 30 Transmitters to a single Receiver, by repeating steps
above for each additional Transmitter (one at a time). Use items CHM0168 or
CHM0169 Transmitters.
NOTE: If you require a different melody for different Transmitters, select new melody first before pairing. This may be useful for multiple entranceways to know which doorway is being visited. Alternatively, an additional door press may be used as a panic button.
It is important to remember that when you replace the run-out battery with new one that you may need to follow the same procedure of the auto-learning code set-up as above.
NOTE: Interference from another similar door chime operating nearby: To reset all settings, press the Music Forward Button for 5 seconds, then pairing will be relieved and melody turn into the default music -Ding Dong. Repeat steps above to re-pair.
SELECTING YOUR PERSONAL SETTINGS
There are 58 different melodies to select from. Scroll through these using the forward/backward melody buttons on the side of the Receiver to select your preferred melody. This can be changed at any time using the re-pairing steps.
There are 5 volume settings to select from. Scroll through these using the volume button on the side of the Receiver for the appropriate volume for your location. This can be changed at any time without re-pairing.

INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
-
Unscrew and lever the base off the top cover of the Transmitter.
There is a small slot at the base of the unit to facilitate this.
The base is held in place firmly, so some pressure may be required. It will not break, rather will pop open. -
Remove the circuit board (it may be secured with a small screw). Insert the supplied CR2032 into the battery holder, ensuring polarity of battery on installation. Reinsert the circuit board.
-
Close the Transmitter enclosure by setting the fastening tab of the top cover into the slot on the base. Then carefully press the base into the top cover. It should click neatly into place, ensuring the waterproof rating of the Transmitter is maintained. Resecure base with screws.
OPERATION
Press the push button on the Transmitter unit once, it sends a wireless signal to the Receiver which will play the selected melody. The sound will stop as soon as the melody ends. For repeat sound, press the button again. Holding the Transmitter button IN will NOT repeat the sound.
