Combi D 4 Diesel Combination Boiler
The launch of the next generation of our Combi D has resulted in a number of
relevant changes to the service procedure due to the components installed.
To differentiate between the two Combi D generations and to optimise the
service procedure, information is provided below on compatibility, as well as
specific features of the “next generation” Combi D and a com- parison of the
relevant components in both genera- tions.
Device component compatibility
The installed device components of both Combi D generations differ greatly and
cannot be used universally with few exceptions, such as the control panel
cable.
As such, spare parts can only be used for the intended devices of the
corresponding generation.
Uniform replacement is neither intended for spare parts or for complete
devices!
Control panel compatibility
The “next generation” Combi D can be used with all currently available Truma
control panels:
- Truma iNet X (Pro) Panel (from software version 2.7.12)
- Truma CP plus (from software version 04.04.01)
- Truma CP classic (not available for E variants)

Glow plug
The new glow plug differs to the previous Combi D in that it is no longer
inserted but screwed into the burner chamber
- In order to prevent previous damage from occurring on the new glow plug, each time the glow plug is replaced the burner chambers must be fully removed and unscrewed from the VBL D cover
Flame sensor
The new flame sensor is securely punched with the burner chamber and can no
longer be replaced separately
- When replacing the flame sensor, the Burner Combi D cpl. spare part is to be accordingly used
Wall cowl
The same wall cowl is used as for the Combi (Gas), but for the Combi D an
O-ring must be assembled between the cowl inner part and cowl outer part
- The O-ring is provided with the Wall cowl kit ZR 80!
Combi D duct kit
New: “Next generation” Combi D duct kit, pipe in pipe system (air supply duct
ZR 80 and exhaust gas sound muffler), instead of previous pipe in pipe system
(air supply duct ZR 80 and exhaust gas sound muffler) and air intake
muffler.Fixing of the exhaust gas sound muffler on
the cowl side:
New with exhaust duct clamp such as Combi (Gas), instead of previous
screw
Fixing of the exhaust gas sound muffler on the device side of the “next
generation” Combi D:
No changes Lock washer tool
New: For shortening the exhaust duct and assembling the lock washer, a new
lock washer tool is required with a deeper stamp (part no. 34020-01282) Please note:
- The old lock washer tool must not be used in connection with the new “next generation” Combi D duct kit!
- The new lock washer tool is backwards compatible and may therefore be used for the old Combi D duct kit.
Fuel pipe
New: The air pressure sensor has been integrated into the electronics, the altitude kit is thus no longer required
- The filling of the fuel line be can started during initial start-up via the control panel, as the software has been integrated into the electronics
- The cellular rubber hose on the fuel lines is no longer required for sound insulation
- The installation angle of the fuel pump can now range from 0° to 90°
- Use of easy-to-install one-ear clamps for fuel lines
