Before you get started

REMOVING THE TRY ME TAB

Before you operate the unit, please make sure the illustrated TRY ME tab has been removed. The unit cannot function normally if the tab has not been removed.

CHARGING THE UNIT

1. Insert the included USB charging cable into the unit’s micro USB port.
2. Plug the other end of the cable into the computer USB port or other USB charging device (not included). We recommend charging the unit for 4 hours to ensure it is fully charged.
3. The charging indicator will light once the unit is fully charged.

NOTE: Please charge the unit when you see the disco light on the body flashing red.

Operation

1. Press and hold the POWER/LED button to turn the unit on; the unit lights will start changing gradually.
   LIGHT MODE Press the POWER/LED button repeatedly to select mode as follows:

   • Light Mode 1: The unit will light up with changing light colors. When there is music playback or singing, the lighting will flash with the audio signal.
   • Light Mode 2: The unit will light up with color changing lights continuously.
   • Light Mode 3: The light will be turned off.

2. USING A BLUETOOTH DEVICE
   Once the unit is switched on, you will hear the Bluetooth sound indicating it is ready to be paired. You may also press and hold the MIC VOL+/- buttons together to initiate the pairing mode. Switch on the Bluetooth function of your Bluetooth-compatible device within three feet of the unit. You will see “Singing Machine· appear on your device’s search list. Select “Singing Machine· to start pairing. Wait for completion of the pairing until you hear a beep from the unit. Please always refer to the user manual of your Bluetooth device for detailed instructions.
   Note: If your Bluetooth device prompts you for a passcode during the pairing process, please enter “0000” to connect. If pairing fails, repeat the steps. If you have paired before, a list of previously searched results will be displayed. Select “Singing Machine· again. On some Bluetooth devices (i.e., computers), once pairing is complete, you must select your Bluetooth device as “Use as Audio Device” or similar.

   • MUSIC PLAYBACK AND MUSIC VOLUME
     Song selection and volume can be controlled from your Bluetooth Device. Adjust the music volume to a comfortable level.

   • SING-ALONG MICROPHONE

3. The microphone can be easily located on top of the unit. You can always sing through it when the unit has been switched on.

4. You can adjust the microphone volume by pressing the MIC VOL + /- buttons on the unit.
   NOTE: You will hear a beep when it is at the maximum level.

5. You can press the ECHO+/- buttons to increase/decrease an echo effect to your voice.
   NOTE: You will also hear a beep when it is at the maximum level.

6. Press and hold the POWER/LED button to turn the unit off; all lights will turn off.

Energy Saving Mode

(Auto Power System-APS)

The unit will automatically switch off after 30 minutes in the following situations:

1. There is no singing into the microphone;
2. The Bluetooth music has been stopped.

The unit can be switched on again by pressing and holding the POWER/LED button. APS is for energy-saving purposes.

Troubleshooting Guide

Should this unit exhibit a problem, check the following before seeking service:

No Power

• Power is not on; press and hold the POWER/LED button to turn power on.
• Confirm that the unit is charged.

No Sound – General

• Volume is set to a minimum; raise the volume of your Bluetooth music device with its volume control.

No sound from the microphone

• Make sure the TRY ME tab has been removed.
• The microphone volume is set to a minimum; raise the microphone volume by pressing the MIC VOL + button.

Bluetooth reception failure

• Put the external Bluetooth device close to the unit.
• Pair the unit with the Bluetooth Device as per the procedures stated in this manual.
