Product Information

The Shielded Antenna NPX series is a navy-ready antenna designed for installation on towers. It comes in three models: NPX1, NPX2, and NPX3. Additionally, there are high-power versions available: NPX5-HP-2FT, NPX5-HP- 3FT, and NPX5-SHP-3FT. The antenna components include a tower stabilizer bracket, type C clamp(s), stabilizing clamp, and millimeter adjustment nuts.

  • Models: NPX1, NPX2, NPX3, NPX5-HP-2FT, NPX5-HP-3FT, NPX5-SHP-3FT
  • Components: Tower stabilizer bracket, type C clamp(s), stabilizing clamp

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Mounting the Tower Stabilizer Bracket:
    • Use the provided hexagonal screws and a 9/16 wrench to fix the points indicated on the antenna seat and lift assembly.
    • For the NPX3 model, only one clamp is received.
  2. Mounting the Antenna on the Stabilizer Bracket:
    • Place the antenna on top of the stabilizer bracket.
    • For the NPX3 model, only one clamp is received due to inverted fittings.
    • Use hexagon nuts and a 9/16 wrench to fix the points indicated on the horizontal fine adjustment type C mount.
  3. Fastening the Type C Bracket on the Mast:
    • When mounting the antenna on the type C bracket included, fasten the bracket with hexagonal nuts as shown in letters A and B of the diagram.
    • The clamp provides stability while making orientation adjustments.
  4. Elevation Adjustment:
    • To adjust the elevation, turn the nuts (A, B) that hold the tensioner as shown in figure A1.
  5. Azimuth Alignment:
    • To adjust the desired angle for azimuth alignment, turn the nut in figure B1 of letter A.
    • Use the provided hexagonal screws and a 3/4 wrench to turn the points indicated.

ASSEMBLY

An antenna totally navy ready for install in your tower.

Slant Configuration 90°

Slant Configuration 45°

Components

  • 2 Pcs |Type C Clamp
    • In the case of the NPX3 model, only 1 clamp is received.
  • 1Pc | Stabilizing Clamp
  1. Mount the tower stabilizer bracket to seat the antenna in the lift assembly.netpoint-npx1-shielded-antenna-fig-5

  2. We will proceed to mount the antenna on top of the stabilizer bracket.netpoint-npx1-shielded-antenna-fig-6
To use the slant at 45º on your NetPoint NP or NPX antenna it is necessary to rotate the dipole with the orange arrows as a letter A and invert the cables on one of the ends of your radio, it is essential to remember that the slant must use it if there is a lot of attenuation but first you have to align it at 90º.
    NOTE:

    • In the case of the NPX3 model, only 1 clamp is received since the fittings are placed in an inverted way as shown in the figure.
Use hexagon nuts and the 9/16 wrench to fix the points indicated.
  3. When the antenna is mounted on the type C bracket on the mast, which is included in this antenna, the type C bracket has to be fastened with hexagonal nuts as shown in the letters A and B of the diagram. The clamp will give you stability while making orientation adjustments.

Millimeter adjustment

  1. The elevation adjustment is simple, when the antenna is mounted, you only have to turn the nuts (A, B) that hold the tensioner as shown in figure A1
  2. To adjust the desired angle, you must loosen the nuts (C, D, E) that hold the lifting plate as shown in figure A2 and turn to close or open the plate as in figure A3 to obtain the angle from 0º to 30º.
  3. To generate the millimeter alignment of the azimuth, turn the nut in figure B1 of the letter A. Turning it will obtain the desired setting.

Use the hexagonal screws and the 3/4 wrench to turn the points indicated.
