BUTTON AND PORT EXPLANATION
WPS Button (round button below LED indicators): If your host router supports
WPS function, simply press WPS button on both the router and the repeater to
establish a secure connection between these two devices Reset Button: Use this
button to restore WIFI DuoBoost to factory default settings.
There are two ways to do it:
a) With the repeater powered on, press Reset Button for about 10 seconds
and wait for the reboot.
b) Restore the settings on Wifi DuoBoost’s Web-based management profile.
Choose “Advanced” -> System -> Load default” to complete the reboot.
Power ON/OFF Button: This button is used to turn Wifi DuoBoost on/off.
WAN Port: 10/100Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port can be used in different modes.
a) Wireless Repeater mode. Use it to connect to the Ethernet-enabled
device.
b) Router mode. Use it to connect to the DSL/cable modem o the Internet.
c) Access point mode. Use it to connect to the host router or the
Internet.
LAN Port: One 10/1000Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port is used to add wireless
connectivity to the Ethernet-enabled device such as Internet TV, DVR, gaming
console, etc.
Please note that this port cannot be used to connect to the router.
Operating Modes
-
Wireless Router Mode (Default)
This mode allows you to connect to the Internet via WAN port. Other terminal devices can connect to this router by wireless connection or establish a wired connection via LAN port. -
Client Mode
Use this mode for wired-only Ethernet-enabled devices. It is suitable for connecting Smart TVs, games consoles, or computers to your wireless network. -
Repeater Mode
This mode allows you to extend your wireless signal. Connect your router to the Wifi booster using a wireless connection. The user terminal can also connect to the booster using wired or wireless connection. -
Access Point Mode
Connect uplink router’s LAN port by a wired connection. The user terminal can connect to this repeater by wireless connection. -
WISP Client Router Mode
This repeater can be connected to an uplink wireless router using a wireless connection, and extend wireless signal at the same time.
Repeater mode (recommended): Quick setup using wps button
Note: your host router should support WPS.
WPS s an easier way to connect your Wifi DuoBoost to your router. It is
recommended to use this method if your host router has a WPS button. The
button might look like one of these: Otherwise, please set up using a web
browser.
- Press the WPS button on your host router.
- Press and hold the WPS button on the repeater.
- You will be able to see a new Wifi network on your computer which is set to be xxx_ext (“xxx” indicating host router’s SSID) and the security key is the same as your host router’s WIF key.
Quick setup using a web browser

Power on
Plug Wifi DuoBoost into a wall outlet and wait until the WLAN LED is blinking. -
Connect
For Windows UsersDisconnect your Ethemet (uired) connecion from your computer. Click the Wi Fi icon on the taskbar and connect to the Repeater’s network (eg. Wireloss-N).
For Mac 0S X UsersDisconnect the Etherne (wired) connection rom your computer (if any). Click the icon in the top right corner of the screen, and connect to the Repeater’s network (e.g, Wireless-1)
For WiredDisatie the Wi Fi on your computer. Connect your computer t0 the repeater via an Ethernet cable. -
Configure the Repeater Mode
1. Open a web browser and type http://myrepeater.net or 192.168.1.254 in the address field, and wait for a login window to appear. Select your language from a dropdown list and enter password to log in. The default password is admin.
2. Choose the Wizard mode to quickly configure your repeater. Select “Wireless Repeater Mode” and press “Next”.
3. Your Wifi DuoBoost is ready to use! Enter your Wifi password to start browsing.
Wireless AP Mode
If Wireless AP Mode is selected, The Wireless settings page will appear as
shown below.
SSID – Enter a value up to 32 characters. The same name of SSID (Service
Set identification) must be assigned to all wireless devices in your network.
The default SSID is set to be Wireless-N.
Security – you can choose the security type on the drop down list. The
default setting is OPEN.
Security key – Wireless Password, When WPA/WPA2PSK is set as the
Security Type, You can enter ASCI| characters between 8 and 63 characters or 8
to 64 Hexadecimal characters.
Click Apply to complete setup.
Gateway Mode (Default)
If Gateway mode is selected, chioose WAN Connection type from the WAN drop- down menu and start the configuration.![WIFI DUOBOOST LV WR16 WiFi Mini Router

is Static IP Address, the next screen will appear as shown below.
Configure the following parameters and then click Next to continue.c) If the connection type is PPPoE, the next screen will appear as shown below.
Configure the following parameters and then click Next to continue. IP Address – This is the WAN IP address as seen by external users on the Internet (including your ISP).
Enter the IP address into the field.
Subnet mask – The Subnet Mask is used for the WAN IP address, it is usually 255.255.255.0.
Gateway – Enter the gateway IP address into the box if required.
Primary DNS – Enter the DNS Server IP address into the box if required.
Secondary DNS (option) – If your ISP provides another DNS server, enter it into this field.
PPPoE User Name – Enter the User Name provided by your ISP.
PPPoE Password – Enter the Password provided by your ISP.
SSID – Enter a value up to 32 characters. The same name SSID(Service Set Identification) must be assigned to all wireless devices in your network. The default SSID is set to be Wireless-N. Security – you can choose the security type on the drop-down list.
The default setting Is OPEN.
Enter SSID and Security, then click Apply to complete setup.
Note: Do not close this window, the window will automatically close when setup is complete.
Wireless Repeater Mode
If Wireless Repeater Mode is selected. The Wireless Repeater(WDS) page will
appear as shown below.Select the SSID of the
target network and insert Repeater SSID and the key of your network. The
defauit Repeater SSID s set to be xxxx_Ext (oxxx indicates The Main Router’s
wireless network name). Then click Apply to complete setup.
Note: The Security Key is the same as your Wireless Router.
Change Default Access
Default access of Wifi DuoBoost is http://myrepeater.net, and the default IP
address is 192.168.1.254. Click “Advance -> Intenet –
LAN Settings” on the homepage, and the following message will appear: Click Apply to save the settings
Note: If you change the IP Address of LAN or Domains, you must use the
new IP Address or Domains tolog inthe router.
WISP Mode
If WISP is selected, The Wireless ISP (APClient) page will appear as shown
below. Select the SSID of the target network and
insert Repeater SSID and the key of your network. The default Repeater SSID is
set to be xxxx_Ext (xexx indicates The Main Router’s wireless network narme).
Then diick Apply to complete setup.
Note: The Security Key is the same as your Wireless Router.
Firmware Upgrade
The system software used by Wifi DuoBoost is called “firmware”. You can use
the firmware upgrade function to add new features to you repeater and fix the
existing bugs.
- Click “Advance -> System -> Upgrade Firmware” on The homepage, and the following message will appear:
- Click “Browse” – you will be prompted to provide the filename of the firmware upgrade file.
- Select firmware upgrade file, click “Upload”. The firmware upgrade procedure will start automatically, and it might take a few minutes.

Q1. I cannot access Wi-Fi Duo Boost’s web management page. What should I do?
Q2. MAC filter, wireless access control, or access control list (ACL) are enabled on my host router. What should I do before configuring and using the repeater?
• If you have those function enabled on your host router, you may need to disable them first. After that, simply follow the quick setup to complete the configuration.
