INSTRUCTIONS SUPER
GLUE & FILLER
Preparation
Adhesion point
Roughen all adhesion points (sandpaper, file, etc.) to achieve the best
possible adhesion.
Make sure that the splices are dry and free of grease, rust, dust and adhesive
residue. Acetone works well forcleaning. Air 5 minutes after cleaning. Our
tip: Placebaking paper under the area to be glued. This preventsunwanted
sticking.
Glue
Open the top part of the fastener. Then cut open the dosing tip. Keep away
dirt from the glue tip as it can clog it. Tip After use, wipe the tip clean
with a piece of paper to avoid clogging.
Filler
Unscrew the top part of the filler. Then cut open the dosing tip.
Material test
ow to test the suitability for the material „plastic“
- Scatter a small amount of granules (about 1mm high) onto the surface of the material to be bonded.
- Put a drop of glue on the granules and wait 1 minute.
- If you press the „adhesive seam“ with your finger, use little force If you have a material that cannot be bonded without pre-treatment, you can remove it. Roughening with sandpaper can help you even bond these materials together! Can‘t you do the „adhesive seam“ with your finger or only with a large one Remove force, you can stick this item permanently.
Material science
All listed examples are based on empirical values. Therefore, test the adhesive beforehand for suitability of the material, as there may be isolated exceptions!
Suitable materials
Aluminum (ideal for minor repairs), glass, rubber, wood, plastic (except PE
and PP) metal & leather, tarpaulins, porcelain, stone, polyester, etc
Unsuitable materials
Felt, masonry, cardboard, styrofoam, Teflon, silicone and plastics that contain
wax such as PP and PE
Troubleshooting
If the „glue“ breaks, connection with the base material is not possible
(smooth surface is created on the underside of the „glue“).
There is a film of dirt, oil or dust on the splice (thorough basic cleaning or
subsequent cleaning with acetone required).
Materials that are difficult to bond. In most cases, roughening the adhesive
surface can help.
If the „adhesive seam“ breaks, it is a case of overstressing (too much force
applied). It usually helps if you increase the adhesive surface. To do this,
several layers of the „adhesive seam“ are applied one on top of the other (2
to 4 layers). glued. The following applies: the larger the adhesive surface,
the more stable and stronger the adhesive bond!
Repairing fractures, cracks and fissures
-
Preparation
See above -
Granules
Apply the granules directly to the area to be repaired. The powder height should not be more than 2mm. There will be no chemical reaction caused by the granules alone. -
Glue
Drip the glue onto the granules until the granules completely saturated with the adhesive. Caution: The granulate reacts immediately with the adhesive! A new orientation is no longer possible. There is a chemical reaction and heat. The more you repeat this procedure (apply granules and soak with glue), the more stable the connection will be. Tip: Apply the „adhesive seam“ to the front and back! -
Curing
After just a few minutes, you can sand and paint the „adhesive seam“. The final strength may vary depending on the material.
Restoring broken small parts

Granules
Pour the granules directly onto the area to be glued. Granula- te height should not be more than 2mm here either. The more granulate is applied to the base material, the more stable your mount will be. -
Glue
Drip the glue onto the granules until the granules completely saturated with the adhesive. Caution: The granulate reacts immediately with the adhesive! -
Curing
After just a few minutes you can sand and varnish the „glued seam“. This is how you bring the workpiece into the desired shape.
Filling of holes/ missing material
-
Formwork
To prevent the granules from trickling through, mask the exposed sides with masking tape. -
Granules
Sprinkle the granules in the hole to be filled (no higher than 2mm). -
Glue
Drip the glue onto the granules until the granules completely saturated with the adhesive. Caution: The granulate reacts immediately with the adhesive! A new orientation is no longer possible. There is a chemical reaction and heat. The more you repeat this procedure (apply granules and soak with glue), the more stable the connection willbe. -
Curing
Depending on the filling level, you can remove the adhesive tape after approx. 2 to 10 minutes and process the material, e.g. by drilling, thread cutting, painting and grinding etc.
Gluing without granules
-
Preparation
See above -
Dosing
Apply a thin layer to one of the sides to be bonded. -
Contact Pressure
The liquid adhesive is only hardened by contact pressure. A correction is possible without pressure for a short time. -
Drying
Allow the adhesive to sit unstressed for a few minutes to achie- ve full adhesion. For surfaces such as porcelain, metal, stone, tiles, etc., hardening can take several hours (max. 24 hours). The final strength can vary depending on the material
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
When do I use the granules?
The granules are used where the adhesive power of the SuperGlue adhesive alone is no longer sufficient (in the case of broken brackets, etc.). The „glued seam“ provides additional reinforcement of the breaking points and adhesions, which should remain flexible. For large-area and precisely fitting adhesions, the adhesive is used alone (without the granulate), e.g. for jewellery, shoe soles, tarpaulins and porcelain cups etc.
What is the relationship between granulate and adhesive?
The ratio of the adhesive to the granules is 1:2. Important: The granules must be completely covered with adhesive (slight color changes of the granules occur when soaking). Make sure that the powder height is never more than 2mm (otherwise the glue can no longer fully cover the powder).
What is the order of application?
First apply the granules and then the adhesive. In the case of a vertical repair (the granules would escape due to gravity) the adhesive is applied first and then the granules.
Can the glued area be removed again?
The hardened „glued seam“ can only be loosened or removed by destroying it.
How long does it take for the „glue“ to dry?
The hardening of the „glued seam“ takes only a few minutes and can be machined, sanded, drilled and painted over after 24 hours.
What to do if glue gets on the skin device?
The adhesive residue can be removed with skin cream, oil or nail polish remover. Sticky fingers can be loosened with twisting movements and cooking oil The remaining adhesive residue can be removed with a fingernail. Tip: cream your hands before use. Attention: Adhesive and granules cause burns on the skin!
