ACT992TH THERMIC ACTUATOR
OVERVIEW
The ACT992TH provides on/off control.
They are small and light making them a good choice for confined spaces.
The ACT992TH is compatible with normally closed zone valves including D102B,
D103B and D104B.
FEATURES
- Low and line voltage models available
- Easy to assemble to valves with M30x1.5 connecting thread
- Compact design, ideal for installation in confined spaces
- Can be mounted after valve body is installed
- Highly visible actuator stroke indicator
- IP44 rated in vertical position
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
The connecting thread on the valve and actuator is M30 x 1.5. When mounting the actuator, follow these instructions:
- Hand tighten only. Do not over tighten. When mounting the actuator on the valve, only hand tighten the brass threaded coupling. Using a wrench to tighten the coupling will damage the actuator, cause it to fail, and will void the warranty. Position the actuator on the valve before tightening by hand.
- Never grab the actuator and forcibly turn it.
To reposition the actuator on the valve, loosen the coupling, reposition the actuator and then retighten the brass coupling by hand.
- Sufficient clearance must be allowed for actuator removal.
- Check to be sure the actuator spindle is in its full retracted position as received.
- Do not connect the power supply before mounting the actuator on the valve.
Mounting the actuator onto the valve sets the valve to its normally open position.
WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
When servicing make sure that:
- the electric supply to the actuator is switched off to avoid possible damage to the equipment, personal injury or shock
- the line power supply is in accordance with the power supply specified on the actuator
- all wiring conforms to local codes and is carried out by authorized personnel only
- you do not touch or attempt to connect or disconnect wires when electric power is on
- you do not open or attempt to repair, contact the Crane Technical Department.
