SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Wear safety glasses, ear protection and safety gloves, and ensure sure there is adequate ventilation when cutting and installing.
- Keep onlookers, especially children, and pets at a safe distance.
- Do not expose the finished decking to hard, heavy or sharp objects, knocks and blows.
- Never drive a vehicle on the decking.
DESCRIPTION
Maintenance-free composite decking without knots consisting of 58% wood, 32% HDPE and 10% additive in the form UV protection. Supplement with edge boards of composite material, end caps, start clips, metal clips and plastic clips, all specially adapted for this decking.
INSTALLATION
BEFORE INSTALLATION
Storage
Store the composite decking stacked horizontally and protected from heat and
mechanical stress. Heat can cause the decking to deform. The studs under the
piles should be placed no more than 60 cm apart. Make sure to stack the
bundles vertically to each other.
Acclimatisation
It is an advantage to store the composite decking at the building site for at
least 72 hours before installation to adapt to the surrounding environment.
INSTALLATION
NOTE:
The composite decking should be mounted on an underlying surface with good
drainage and circulation of air, where water does not accumulate.

Place the studs on a level, stable concrete floor or the equivalent. Secure the studs with expander screws. Do not lay the decking on grass or an uneven surface, this will result in an uneven and unstable floor.

Lay the studs with a centre-to-centre spacing of no more than 300 mm. In areas with heavy loads the centre-tocentre spacing should be no more than 200 mm.

Predrill before installation, otherwise there is a risk of damaging the studs. The expander screws should be placed at 400–500 mm intervals. Firmly tighten the expander screws.

Leave a free space of 10–15 mm between the ends if the studs are joined.

Both ends of each duckboard must rest on the studs and the ends should not extend more than 20–30 mm over the studs.

When fitting clips, do not screw directly in the studs. Predrill with a drill diameter of 1 mm and screw the clips in the predrilled holes.

Double studs with a relative spacing of 10–20 mm should be installed where the floor boards meet. Fix the duckboards separately to avoid them being damaged or deformed.

Leave space for the duckboards to expand during the installation. Leave a gap of 6–7 mm between the boards. Use suitable blocks to measure the gap.

When installing near a wall, leave a free space of at least 20 mm between the duckboards and the wall
NOTE:
The composite decking could be placed with the grooved side up or wood grain
side up. The grooved side up is recommended. As the wood grain is intended as
decoration. The wood grain will get fade even disappear after long time use.
It depends on the frequency of use.
Installation – overview
MAINTENANCE
- Minor scratches do not affect the functionality of the product and can be removed with fine sandpaper.
- Clean the decking at regular intervals with a non-phosphoric degreasing agent. Stubborn stains, rust etc. can be removed with detergent containing phosphorus. Rinse with clean water and wipe dry with a dry cloth.
- Clean the slots in the decking at regular intervals with a suitable tool.
- Provide for good drainage and the circulation of air under the decking.
