SAFETY OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you for purchasing this battery-operated product. Please read the instructions and warnings carefully before use to ensure safe and satisfactory operation of this product.
Please Note
- This battery-operated item is designed for indoor use only.
- Assembly of the DIY Paper chains must be done under adult supervision, scissors must only be handled by adults when cutting the paper.
- Uses non replaceable LEDs (light emitting diodes), which last longer than traditional incandescent (or filament) bulbs.
- Batteries are not included.
Instructions for use
- Carefully remove the product from the packaging.
- The power switch is located on the battery compartment.
- This product has a timer, to operate slide the switch to TIMER and the set will remain lit for the same 6 hours each day
- To reset, simply slide the switch to either OFF or ON
- To keep the set constantly on, slide the switch to ON
Changing the Batteries
To change the batteries, remove the lid from the battery compartment. Insert 3 x AA size batteries. Ensure the flat face (negative) end of the batteries align with the spring contacts within the battery compartment. Batteries should be removed and replaced by adults only.
- Use only recommended batteries or those of the same or equivalent type.
- Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of a different type.
- Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. The supply terminals are not to be short circuited.
- Always remove exhausted batteries from the product.
- Remove batteries if the set is not used for extended periods of time.
- Do not attempt to re-charge non rechargeable batteries.
- Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the item before recharging. Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Batteries contain substances that may be harmful to the environment and human health.
- Keep out of reach of children and seek immediate medical help if swallowed.
- Never throw batteries in a fire or attempt to open the outer casing.
Warnings
- This product is a decoration not a toy. Keep out of reach of young children as may contain small parts that could represent a choking hazard.

This symbol indicates that electrical products should not be disposed of in the normal household waste but taken to appropriate local recycling facilities, where and when these are available. Contact your local authority for details of local recycling schemes
To assemble the product, you will need:
- A pair of scissors
- A glue stick
- Cut the paper along the dashed lines, to make this easier, it is recommended to lightly fold the paper in half, only cut the dashed lines, do not go over these.
- Lightly glue along the end strip and fold the paper (pattern facing outwards) to form the lantern shape.
- Thread the ribbon through the holes on the bottom of the lantern, feeding the ribbon through the inside of the lantern and then feed it through the holes at the top of the lantern.
- Before tying the ribbon at the top, thread the icicle led chain so that the drops enter each lantern, you can then tie the ribbon around the light string to finish the lantern assembly.
