Instructions to hang
EGG BIRD HOUSE HANGING GUIDE
Hang the Egg Bird House 3’ from surrounding surfaces to prevent animals from disturbing the house. Most animals will not be able to jump onto the slippery surface of the Egg Bird House if hung at least 3’ from surrounding surfaces. The Egg Bird House hanging wire is 24” and will need to be connected to an additional length of wire to hang 3’ from surrounding surfaces. We recommend using a snap hook to attach the Egg Bird House to the additional length of wire. A snap hook allows the Egg Bird House to easily be removed for cleaning. Snap hooks can be found in most hardware stores.
CARE FOR THE EGG BIRD HOUSE
Wipe clean stoneware and aluminum surfaces with a damp cloth. We recommend cleaning your bird house after each brood has left. Use a 10% bleach to water solution, scrub with a firm brush and rinse thoroughly. Allow to dry. If you live in an area that freezes please make sure the interior of the Egg Bird House remains dry during the critical times of year when it freezes and thaws. Damage to the egg may occur during the freeze/thaw cycles if the interior is wet.
