J-SCALE Baby Nest Scale
Thank you for purchasing the J-Scale® Baby Nest Scale. Please read all operating instructions carefully before use. This electronic scale is a precision instrument. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Before using the scale for the first time, check the battery compartment and remove any plastic insulation strips or packaging that may be in place to prevent battery drainage during shipping / storage.
- Press [ON/ZERO] to turn on the scale. To turn off press and hold for 3 seconds.
- Press [MODE] to change the units. It is possible to change between kg or lb.
- Press [MEM] to save a reading while weighing. Press [MEM] when the reading has stabilized. To recall the saved reading press [MEM] when the display reads “0.000”.
- If the display indicates” Lo” when the scale starts, it means the battery needs to be replaced.
- If the display indicates” Err ‘; it means there is something wrong with the operation. Please restart the weighing process.
PRECAUTIONS
- To ensure the safety of the baby only use the scale on a hard flat surface.
- Place the baby in the center of the weighing platform to ensure a precise reading.
- Keep the scale dry and away from water.
- Do not overload the scale in order to protect the sensor from damages.
- Do not drop or shock the scale.
- Clean the scale with a slightly damp cloth, DO NOT immerse the scale in water or use chemical/abrasive cleaning agents.
CALIBRATION
Calibration may be required when the scale is first set up for use, or if the
scale is moved to a different altitude or new location. This is necessary
because the weight of a mass in one location is not necessarily the same in
another location. Also, with time and use, mechanical deviations can occur.
How to calibrate “”you must have 2 x 10kg weights or combination of weights in
order to calibrate
- Place the scale on a flat hard surface.
- From the off setting press & hold the [MODE] and [ON/TARE] buttons. Release both buttons when display will shows “(At’ and an AD value.
- Press [ON/TARE] key, the display will display “Cl O” and then “O”.
- Place a 10KG weight on the scale and the display will show a random number. After the number is steady, press [ON/TARE].
- The display will show “(20′:and then “0000”. Place another 10 kg weight on the scale. After the number is steady, press [ON/TARE] again, the display will show”END”.
- The scale will turn off. The calibration process is complete.
