AMANA ABB1921BRW Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator
Product Information
The bottom-mount refrigerator is a home appliance designed to provide refrigeration and freezing capabilities. It is important to properly install the refrigerator according to the appliance’s Owner’s Manual before operating.
Operating Instructions
To adjust the temperature in the refrigerator or freezer compartment,
follow the instructions below:
CONDITION/REASON | ADJUSTMENT |
---|---|
Refrigerator too warm | Refrigerator control one setting higher |
Refrigerator too cold | Refrigerator control one setting lower |
Freezer too warm/too little ice | Freezer control one setting higher |
Freezer too cold | Freezer control one setting lower |
- For your convenience, the temperature controls are preset at the factory. When installing the refrigerator for the first time, ensure that the controls are still set to the initial settings as shown.
- Wait for 24 hours for the refrigerator to cool completely before adding food. Adding food before the refrigerator has cooled completely may result in spoilage.
- Adjusting the refrigerator and freezer controls to a colder than recommended setting will not cool the compartments any faster. The recommended settings should be correct for normal household refrigerator use. The controls are set correctly when milk or juice is as cold as desired and when ice cream is firm.
- If the temperature is too warm or too cold in the refrigerator or freezer, check the air vents to ensure they are not blocked before adjusting the controls. The compartments will not cool when the refrigerator is off.
Humidity Control (On Some Models)
Some models have a Humidity Control feature that turns on a heater to
reduce moisture on the door hinge seal. Use this feature in humid environments
or when moisture is noticed on the door hinge seal. Keep in mind that the
refrigerator will use more energy when the Humidity Control is on. Press the
Humidity Control button to turn it On when the environment is warm and more
humid, or if moisture is observed on the door hinge seal. Press the Humidity
Control button to turn it Off to save energy when the environment is less
humid.
