Product Usage Instructions
Assembly and Disassembly (for Sock Replacement)
To replace the sock, use the Foot Horn to don and doff the foot shell. Remove the CPI sock and replace as needed. Do not disassemble or modify other components as it will void the warranty.
Endoskeletal Mounting
When mounting the Aviator, use only high-quality proximal endoskeletal components.
Static Alignment
For optimal function, ensure the patient’s weight is evenly balanced between the heel and toe. The Aviator has a 3/8 (10.0 mm) heel rise. The load line divides the foot at 1/3 heel lever and 2/3 toe lever. Refer to Figure 2 for a visual representation.
Dynamic Adjustments
The Aviator allows for dynamic adjustments to achieve the desired response. The following changes can be made:
Desired Result | Alignment Change | Component Change |
---|---|---|
Firmer toe response | Dorsiflex the Aviator or move load line anteriorly | N/A |
Softer toe response | Plantarflex the Aviator or move load line posteriorly |
N/A
Firmer heel response| N/A| Add heel wedge (Refer to the Voyager Heel Wedge Kit
Instructions)
Softer heel response| N/A| Remove heel wedge (Refer to the Voyager Heel Wedge
Kit
Instructions)
