Product Information

  • Product Name: VXS-2245AR Industrial Electric Motor Siren (Red)
  • Voltage Requirement: 220-240 volt AC
  • Safety Instructions:
    • This product produces a very loud sound, improper use may result in hearing loss or permanent damage.
    • Do not operate in a closed environment or near pedestrians.
    • Do not connect the siren to any power source other than 220-240 volts AC.
    • Use eye protection equipment during drilling operations.
    • Do not connect the siren if supply wires are energized.
  • Mounting Instructions:
    • Identify a suitable area for mounting, preferably an unobstructed steady surface like a pole.
    • Do not attach the siren to a flexible material.
    • Use the bracket as a guide to estimate and mark the positions for the holes.
    • Perforate the marked positions using a drill.
    • Secure the siren to the surface using four screws (not provided).
  • Electrical Connections:
    • Before starting with any electrical connections, ensure that the supply wires are not energized.
    • Connect the RED wire of the siren to the PHASE lead of your 220-240V AC power source.
    • Connect the BLUE wire of the siren to the NEUTRAL lead of your 220-240V AC power source.
    • The connections of the red and white wires can be switched, red wire can be connected to the neutral lead and white wire to the phase lead.
    • Unscrew the small screw located in the siren’s body to connect the GROUND lead and tighten the screw.
    • If you want to activate the siren manually, your power source must have a switch installed.
    • If the siren is being used as part of a smoke detector, gas sensor, timer, or anti-theft alarm system, please follow your device’s instruction.
  • Maintenance:
    • Other than cleaning, no maintenance is required.
    • To ensure the siren is operating properly, it should be tested frequently.

  11. Connect the BLUE wire of the siren to the NEUTRAL lead of your 220-240V AC power source.
  12. The connections of the red and white wires can be switched if necessary.
  13. Unscrew the small screw located in the siren’s body to connect the GROUND lead and tighten the screw.
  14. If you want to activate the siren manually, ensure that your power source has a switch installed.

IMPORTANT: The connections of the red and white wires can be switched, red wire can be connected to neutral lead and white wire to phase lead.

  • Unscrew the small screw located in the siren’s body to connect the GROUND lead and tighten the screw.
  • To activate the siren manually your power source must have a switch installed.
  • If the siren is being used as part of a smoke detector, gas sensor, timer or anti-theft alarm system, please follow your device’s instruction.
