Product Usage Instructions
- Inspect the kit contents for any shipping damage and report it immediately to the transportation company.
- Cut the existing wire tie securing the Ambient Sensor to the Coil Guard at the fourth screw location and remove the ambient sensor wire from the coil guard loops.
- Remove five existing screws from each side of the existing back coil guard and set the guard aside. Repeat the same step for the side guard.
- Replace the Coil Guard with the new Coil Hail Guard using the recently removed screws. Place the screws in the top, middle, and lowest locations.
- Replace screws in the previously removed locations, even though they are not used to secure the new Hail Guard. This is important to prevent water entry and vibration noises.
- Use the supplied Arrowhead wire tie to secure the ambient sensor to the new Hail Guard, ensuring it is in the vertical location.
- Reroute the Ambient Sensor up through the wire loops in the new Hail Guard, removing any slack that may occur. Make sure the sensor is secured in the vertical position when installing the wire tie.
- If your unit has the Ambient Sensor as shown in the right-hand image in the manual, the arrowhead attachment is designed to prevent sensor rotation.
