IMPORTANT!
The product is not intended to be used or cleaned by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge
unless they have been given instructions concerning the safe use of the
product by a person legally responsible for their safety. They should be
supervised while using the product. Children shall not use, clean or play with
the product, which when not in use should be secured out of their reach.
Subject to technical modification.
Safety, performance, and dependability have been given top priority in the design of your battery inverter and solar panel.
INTENDED USE
The battery inverter may be used for the following purposes:
- operating and charging USB-powered devices
- supplying electrical power for operating compatible small electronics such as cell phones, tablets, laptops, LED lights, fans, radios, etc.
- charging RYOBI 18V ONE+ battery packs
The battery inverter is intended for indoor use only. When a battery pack is
installed, the battery inverter converts DC electricity to the charging power
outputs listed in this manual, allowing the user to charge and power a variety
of devices.
The battery inverter’s AC receptacle has a non-sinusoidal (modified sine wave)
output and is not recommended for use with certain types of sensitive
electronics or electrical devices containing a compressor. Refer to the
electronics’ operator’s manual.
The battery inverter is rated at 150 VA continuous power output and 450 VA
startup power output. Check the power rating of your electrical device before
using with the battery inverter. The power output can exceed 150 VA on startup
if the maximum output is 450 W.
The battery inverter can recharge a battery pack when connected to a household
power supply or connected to the solar panel. If a battery pack is being
charged, the battery inverter does not provide power to any device connected
to the USB-A charging ports.
The solar panel charges or powers USB devices using converted solar energy.
The solar panel can provide power through USB-A and USB-C outputs. The solar
panel is intended for outdoor use with good light exposure. The product is
designed for home or domestic use. Do not use the product for any other
purpose.
GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instruction for future reference.
- Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct others who may use this product. If you loan someone the product, loan them these instructions also.
- Do not recharge primary cells (non-rechargeable).
- Do not expose the product to rain, wet, or damp conditions. Water entering the product increases the risk of electric shock.
- Do not use the product if it has been dropped or received a sharp blow. A damaged product increases the risk of fire. Always inspect the product for damages before use.
- The product should be operated only with the battery packs specified in this manual. When using batteryoperated products, follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, leaking batteries, and personal injury.
- Do not disassemble or modify the product. Electric shock hazard may occur even when a battery is not installed. Any part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorised service centre.
- Use caution when plugging or unplugging other devices into the product. Do not force plugs into the product.
- Do not put foreign objects into the product.
BATTERY INVERTER SAFETY WARNINGS
- Remove the battery pack from the product when not in use.
- To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when the product is used near children.
- Store the product indoors and away from children.
- If the product is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the protection provided by this equipment may be impaired.
- Do not overload the product. The product must be used for powering devices less than the product rating.
- Never block the air vents. Blocked vents may cause overheating. The product automatically turns off when overheated.
- Keep the product cool. Do not place the product near heat vents or in direct sunlight.
- Do not use the product around flammable fumes and gases, such as in the bilge of a boat or near propane tanks.
- Operate the product using only the AC power type listed in the product specifications.
- The product should never be hard-wired into a circuit.
- Do not leave the product unattended during operation.
- Operate the product only in temperatures between -15 °C and 40 °C.
- Do not use the product to power life support devices or other medical equipment.
- This is an isolated inverter and has double insulated construction. It does not utilise earth connection for protection. Do not power devices which are damaged or with damaged or frayed power cords.
- An internal cooling fan runs to regulate the product’s operating temperature. Always wait for the fan to stop before disconnecting the battery pack from the product.
- Use RYOBI 18V ObNE+ battery packs only. Do not use battery packs from other manufacturers.
- The light source of the product is not replaceable. When the light source reaches its end of life, the product must be replaced.
- Store the product in a location where the ambient temperature is between 15 °C and 60 °C.
SOLAR PANEL SAFETY WARNINGS
- Use the product in areas with good light exposure. Avoid using the product under trees, awnings, overhangs, and behind windows that are screened, tinted, or with dividers or obstructed views.
- Use the product flat on the ground, on a level surface, or hung on a vertical surface.
- Position the product so the angle of the panels are perpedicular to the sun for best performance. Cloud cover and dirty panels results in less exposure, decreasing the charging capacity of the solar panel.
- When hanging the product vertically, make sure to fasten it securely. Damage can occur if the product falls.
- Use caution when touching the product. The product may generate heat during use.
- Disconnect the devices after charging and fold the solar panel before storing.
- Use only the solar panel provided with the product.
- Store the product indoors.
- If the product is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the protection provided by the product may be impaired.
MAINTENANCE
- Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, and grease.
- Do not, at any time, let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum based products, and penetrating oils come in contact with plastic parts. These products contain chemicals that can damage, weaken, or destroy plastic.

OPERATING THE BATTERY INVERTER
Avoid unwanted circuit breaks by identifying the starting and running watts of the devices to be connected. To calculate the starting wattage values, follow the following steps:
- Add the running watts of all the devices to be connected to the battery inverter. The devices should be under 150 W (150 VA).
- Add the largest starting watts of the devices to be connected.
The sum of the added watts are the maximum starting watts and must be within
the limitations of the battery inverter AC output.
NOTE: When there are other devices connected to the battery inverter,
some devices might experience wattage surge. Check the manuals of the
connected devices to confirm.
