Pipe installation
Fill, flush and air
Before filling the installation check all connections! Fill the installation with water acc. to VDI 2035 or ONORM H 5195 one loop at a time. Flush and de- air each loop. Use the flow meters to individually shut off the loops .
Water pressure testing
Before filling the installation check all connections! Fill the installation with water acc. to VDI 2035 or ONORM H 5195 one loop at a time. Flush and de- air each loop. Use the flow meters to individually shut off the loops .
Air pressure testing
Follow national standard and safety instructions from EN 14336 Apply 0,5 bar air pressure for approx. 10 minutes and check for leakage. Possible leakages can be found with leakage spray or applying soap water.
- All valves must be open.
- Pressurize installation slowly.
- Maximum 0,5 bar, keep clear.
- Keep under pressure for approx. 10 minutes and check for leakage.
Air need to be applied to the system from outside the room of installation .
Dust cover
Put on a dust cover to protect the installation from dust, damage, and paint .

Heat up
If no mains power for heat up period (screed drying) do not remove red mounting split! Heat up the installation with TWA open, do not remove the retaining ring on the actuator! Plastic heat meter insert is not for permanent operation! Please exchange in case no heat meter is mounted!
Danfoss Icon™ Wiring Center 230V
Please power off the Wiring Center when during the installation! Wiring need to done by an authorized electrician! Do not forget the GROUNDING!

UnoFloor Mixing
FTC Temperature controller
FTC is a self-acting thermostatic sensor used for flow temperature control of
floor heating. The water temperature is measured by a surface sensor. The
snap-lock connector of the sensor element secures a firm connection to the
valve.
Features:
- Closes on rising sensor temperature.
- Temperature range: 15 °C to 50 °C

Application 0010
Application 0010: 4-pipe system with 2-way valves on supply pipes and automatic change over for cooling controlled by a reference room thermostat. Optional: Dewpoint sensor (recommended), circulation pump, heat demand signal and Global standby.
Application description
A 4-pipe system with 2-way valves on supply pipes and automatic change over for cooling controlled by the reference room thermostat. The system activates cooling mode via 2-way valves with thermal actuators on the supply and returns side by activating the corresponding outputs (M1 – M4). Note: In this application outputs 1, 2, 3 & 4 on Danfoss Icon™ Master is used for the application and cannot be assigned to thermostats. For cooling applications, it is always recommended to have a dew point sensor installed in the system to prevent moisture damage to floor and installations in cases where the relative humidity exceeds dew point. Four conditions must be true before cooling in a room is allowed:
- Reference room temperature must exceed the room setpoint + cooling hysteresis.
- No room has called for heating within a neutral time.
- The dew point sensor must not be active / no condensation risk present.
- The room thermostat must be enabled for cooling (default = enabled).
The Global standby is a potential free input that can be used to remotely put
the system in Global away mode e.g. via an external 3rd party GSM module. When
global standby input is active, all rooms receive a 15-degree Celcius
setpoint.
Settings
- “SET 1” = Set desired cooling hysteresis for change-over [+2 to +4K]
- “SET 2” = Set neutral time that must pass without active heating or cooling, before changeover can be activated [3-6 Hrs.]
Settings on thermostat
Excluding rooms from cooling: To exclude a room from cooling – typically
in bathrooms where cooling would be uncomfortable — go to the thermostat and
set the menu too . See the Thermostat Installation Guide for further
information.
Choose reference room thermostat: To assign a thermostat as a reference
room thermostat, go to the desired reference room thermostat and in the menu
set to . When selected the thermostat will control when the system goes from
heating mode to cooling mode based on the actual temperature in the room. It
is only possible to have one reference thermostat per system and if more than
one thermostat is assigned as a reference, the last assigned will overwrite
the previous reference room thermostats and cause these to revert to normal
function.
Application test function
Enter the “Test” menu via the installer key. The Application test (APP test)
is specific for each application. The test is split into steps to ensure that
all components are installed correctly. Please follow the process.
Test steps
- Step 1:3 During the first five minutes, the outputs 1&2 are set to “ON” = heating mode/ hot flow side (up to 3 minutes opening time can be expected).
- Step 2:3 During the next five minutes, outputs 1&2 are set to “OFF”, and outputs 3 & 4 are set to “ON” = cooling mode/cold flow side (up to 3 minutes opening time can be expected).
- Step 3:3 During last 5 minutes, all outputs 1, 2, 3 and 4 should close.

UnoFloor Metering
Temperature range: 35–60 °C MTCV´s factory pre-setting 50 °C The temperature setting can be made after removing the plastic cover (3), by lifting it with a screwdriver using the hole (4). The temperature setting screw (5) must be turned with an allen-key to match the wanted temperature on the scale with the reference point. The plastic cover (3) must be pressed back into place after the setting has been made.It is recommended to control the set temperature with a thermometer. The temperature of the hot water from the last tapping point on the riser must be measured*. The difference between the measured temperature at the last tapping point and the temperature set on the MTCV is due to heat losses in the circulation pipe between the MTCV and the tapping point. where TVM valves (thermostatic mixing valves) are installed the temperature must be measured before the TVM valve.
