Product Usage Instructions

Installation:

  1. Use a Cat6 network cable and follow the IEEE-568B wiring standard: 1. Orange/White, 2. Orange, 3. Green/White, 4. Blue, 5. Blue/White, 6. Green, 7. Brown/White

Connection:

  1. Connect the HDMI input with the HDMI output of the source device
  2. Connect the IR blaster extension cable to the IR extender out port
  3. Connect the RJ45 port with the RJ45 input port of the HDMI extender RX
  4. Connect the HDMI output of the HDMI extender RX to the HDMI input of the HDTV and set the source input to the correct HDMI input channel

Troubleshooting:

  • If the display shows “Waiting for Connection,” ensure that the power supply is firmly connected
  • If the display indicates a signal loss, check all connections and connect the signal source directly to the display device to ensure there is a signal output. Change the signal source if necessary.
  • If there is a degraded video signal, check the cable lengths between the TX and the switch, and the switch to RX. Ensure that the connection between each level is within the required ranges. Press the RESET button on the TX/RX front panel, reset, and reconnect.

TThe Ocean Matrix OMX-HDMI-HDB1X8 splitter extender system over a single Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6 distributes 1 HDMI source to 8 HDMI displays simultaneously. This system extends high definition audio/video transmission beyond the standard distances for HDMI cable limitations via HDbitT technology. The OMX- HDMI-HDB1X8 delivers full 1080P HDMI signal up to 394 feet over a single Cat6 network cable. An IR signal transmission allows for remote control of the source at a secondary location with IR extension cables (included).

Ideal for projection screens, remote conferencing, CCTV, high-end security, and remote HD monitoring.

Installation

Cat6 Network Cable – follow the IEEE-568B wiring standard:

  1. Orange/White
  2. Orange
  3. Green/White
  4. Blue
  5. Blue/White
  6. Green
  7. Brown/White

Connection

  1. Connect HDMI input with the HDMI output of the source device
  2. Connect the IR blaster extension cable to the IR extender outport

  • (2) Servicing Personnel: Do not attempt to service the unit beyond that described in these operating instructions. Refer all other servicing to authorized servicing personnel.
  • (3) Replacement parts: When parts need replacing ensure the servicer uses parts specified by the manufacturer. Unauthorized substitutes may result in fire, electric shock, or other hazards.
  • (4) Safety check: After repairs or service, ask the servicer to perform safety checks to confirm that the unit is in proper working condition.
