ORTHOFIX AccelStim Bone Healing Therapy
Product Information
The AccelStimTM Bone Healing Therapy is a device designed to promote bone healing using ultrasound technology. The device consists of the following components:
- Display: The display provides visual information and feedback about the device’s settings and operation
- On/Off Button: This button is used to turn the device on or off.
- Function Button: The function button is used to start the treatment.
- Transducer: The transducer is the part of the device that emits ultrasound waves for bone healing.
- Transducer Port: The transducer port is where the transducer cord is connected to the device.
- Strap Transducer Holder: The strap transducer holder is used to secure the transducer in place during treatment.
- C harging Port: The charging port is used to recharge the device’s battery.
OVERVIEW
AccelStim Device Quick Instructions
- Connect the transducer to the AccelStim™ device by inserting the transducer cord into the transducer port.
- Wear the strap such that the transducer will be on the area to be treated and secure it with the Velcro attached to the elastic strap.
- Open the blue cover of the transducer holder by rotating it counterclockwise.
- Apply the gel to the side of the transducer with no writing to form a 1-2 mm thick layer.
- Insert the transducer inside the transducer holder so that the serial number is visible and then close the blue cover by rotating it.
- Turn on the device by pressing On/Off Button for two seconds, until you hear a “beep”.
- To start the treatment, press the Function Button of the device on the front panel.
- Wear the device over treatment site for 20 minutes every day or as prescribed by your physician.
- To recharge the battery, plug the power supply into the charging port.
