The ThinkSystem SR665 V3 is a 2S 2U rack server designed for managing a complex set of workloads such as data management, analytics, virtualization, cloud, and AI. With dual 4th Gen AMD EPYCTM processors, 192 cores, up to 160 PCIe lanes, and up to 6TB of DDR5 memory, this server delivers high performance.

The SR665 V3 is built to support current infrastructure and easily scale for next-generation workloads. It offers multiple drive options including SAS/SATA, NVMe, and EDSFF with hot-swap capabilities. The XClarity system management software enables quick and easy changes. Additionally, the server supports multiple options for GPU and PCIe to meet graphics, speed, and budget requirements.

The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR665 V3 has set a new two-processor 2U rack server performance world record on Linux for the SPECpower_ssj 2008 benchmark. The SPECpower_ssj 2008 benchmark is an industry-standard benchmark that evaluates the power and performance characteristics of single servers and multi-node servers.

The ThinkSystem SR665 V3 delivered the following SPECpower_ssj 2008 2U 2S world record performance result on Linux:

  • SPECpower_ssj2008 = 27,118 overall ssj_ops/watt

The SR665 V3 was configured as follows:

  • 2x AMD EPYC 9654 Processors (96 cores, 2.40 GHz, 384 MB L3 Cache)
  • 384 GB of DDR5 memory.
  • 1x 240GB M.2 SSD
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.6
  • Oracle Java HotSpot 64-bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11.0.15.1+2-LTS-10, mixed mode)
