Safety Notice
- An electric scooter is a sports and entertainment tool, not a means of transportation, but once you drive it into a public area, it will also have vehicle characteristics, so there are possible safety risks in all modes of transportation. Driving strictly according to the instructions in this manual will protect you and others to the greatest extent and make sure to comply with national and provincial traffic laws and regulations
- At the same time, you need to understand: Once you drive the electric scooter on public roads or other public places, even if you fully follow this safe driving guide, you may have risks caused by illegal driving/improper operation of others or vehicles.Just as walking or cycling can be harmed by other means of transport. Same as other vehicles, the faster you drive, the longer the distance you need to brake, and emergency braking on some slippery surfaces may also cause wheel damage slip and lose balance or even fall. So stay alert while driving, maintain an appropriate speed, and keep a reasonable safe distance from other people and vehicles is very important. When driving into familiar terrain, please be vigilant and drive at a low speed.
- Please respect pedestrians’ right of way when driving. Avoid scaring pedestrians, especially children. When passing behind pedestrians, alert pedestrians and slow down. Try to pass by from pedestrians’ left side(for countries where vehicles drive on the right). When facing a pedestrian, keep to the right side and reduce speed.
- When driving in China and other countries and regions that currently do not have national standards and regulations related to electric scooters, please be sure to strictly abide by the safety regulations of drivers in this manual. For all property, personal loss, accidents, legal disputes, and other conflicts of interest caused by the violation of the use behaviors indicated in this manual, QMY will not bear any direct and joint responsibility.
- Do notlend the electric scooter to a person who cannot operate it to avoid injury. When handing over the electric scooter to a friend, be sure to be responsible for the safety of your friend, teach him (her), and tell him (her) that he (she) must wear safety gear.
- Please perform a basic inspection of the electric scooter before each drive, if you find obvious loose parts, significantly reduced battery life, excessive tire wear, rotating, in the event of abnormal noise or brake failure, please stop using it immediately. Call the official customer service number 400-876-1033 to get professional guidance or maintenance services.
Tip: Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene or other corrosive and volatile chemical solvents to clean, otherwise it will seriously damage the appearance and internal structure of the scooter body. It is forbidden to use a pressure water gun to spray and rinse, and make sure that the electric scooter is turned off, and the charging cable has been unplugged and the silicone cover of the charging port is tightly fastened, otherwise it may cause electricity or serious failure due to internal water ingress.
Maintenance
- If there are stains on the surface of the electric scooter body, use a soft cloth dipped in a small amount of water to wipe it; if there are stains that are difficult to clean, you can use toothpaste to apply and wipe repeatedly with a soft cloth.
- When not in use, try to store the electric scooter in a dry and cool place indoors, and try to avoid storing it outdoors for a long time. Sun exposure/hot/cold outdoor environment will accelerate the aging of the appearance and tires of the electric scooter and reduce the service life of the electric scooter and its battery.
- Do not use other types or brands of battery packs, otherwise there may cause safety risks.
- It is forbidden to touch the battery contacts,as well as to disassemble and pierce the casing. Avoid short circuit caused by metal objects touching the battery contacts. Otherwise, it may cause battery damage or personal injury.
- Only use the original charger for charging, otherwise there is a risk of damage or fire.
- Improper disposal of used batteries can seriously pollute the environment. Follow local regulations when disposing of this battery pack. Do not discard the battery pack at will, we need to protect the natural environment
- After each use, please fully charge the battery before storing it, which will help prolong the battery life.
- Do not place the battery in a temperature environment above 50 or below -20° (For example: Do not put the electric scooter or its battery to the car under sun exposure in summer). Do not put the battery pack into fire, otherwise it may cause the battery to fail, overheat, and even risk fire. When not in use for more than 30 days, please fully charge it first, store it in a cool and dry place, and fully charge it every 6 days, otherwise the battery may be damaged, and such damage is not covered by the warranty.
- Avoid recharging when the battery is completely exhausted, and try to use it whenever you want, which can greatly extend the service life of the battery. In addition, when used at normal temperature, the battery pack can play a higher cruising range performance; And if it is used in a lower environment below O°c, the battery life and performance will be degraded. Typically, in a -2°c environment, the cruising range may be half or less than at normal temperature. When the temperature rises, the battery’s cruising range will resume.
Tip: A fully charged electric scooter will use up its stored power after about 120-180 days of standby. There is a smart chip inside the battery to record the charge and discharge. Damage caused by not charging for a long time will not be able to be recharged. If it is not charged in time, it may be damaged by over discharge. This damage is irreversible and cannot enjoy free warranty.
Note: Non-professionals are not allowed to disassemble the battery pack at will, otherwise it may cause serious safety accidents due to electric shock or short circuit!)
