ABOUT AUDEZE

In 2008, Audeze was founded in a garage (of course!) after its creators discovered a ground-breaking flexible circuit material created for NASA. They initially started to manufacture professional audio PA speakers but abandoned this effort and started making headphones—the LCD-1—after realising that this may be a significant advancement in planar magnetic technology.

This first headset was a huge success when it was brought to the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, and that achievement helped the company get off the ground. The 2001 Space Odyssey poster that was hanging on the garage wall served as the company’s name inspiration. The name Audeze (pronounced “odyssey”) was chosen by the company’s founders because they wanted a moniker that alluded to a “journey via audio.”

Accurately designed using acoustics
The cutting-edge planar magnetic technology from Audeze produces precise sound that amplifies every detail of the recording.

Smaller than a human hair, the diaphragm
For quick response times, significantly less distortion, higher resolution, and better imaging, we use space-age materials in an ultra thin diaphragm that is four times larger than normal headphones.

Almost no distortion
For almost minimal distortion, double-sided magnet arrays produce a constant driving force throughout the whole diaphragm.
