The “Teufel REAL BLUE PRO” Headphones are designed for the playback of audio signals that can be wirelessly transmitted via Bluetooth® from the external player. The headphones are also suitable as a headphone for connecting
to Bluetooth-compatible (mobile) phones. Only use the headphones as described in this user manual. Any other use will be deemed as not in accordance with the instructions and may lead to damage to property or even persons. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use. The headphones are intended for private use only.

Headphone LED indications

During use, LED 3 does not illuminate unless there is a change in operation status. Refer to the table below for the most frequent LED indications.

Note: Transparency mode can be also tuned on by pressing the ANC button after the ANC high-mid-low.

Status LED 3 (left earcup) Status
Slow flashing in red Battery level is low, please charge your headphones.
Fast flashing in blue Bluetooth Pairing Mode, the headphones can be connected

with a new device.

Pulsing in blue

| Ready for connection with a previously connected device (connectable mode). You can reconnect from the Bluetooth list of your smart device.
Solid blue for 10 seconds| Bluetooth connection is successful.
Flashing blue twice| The device list (memory) on the headphones is cleared.

Flashing white once

| A call has been answered, rejected or ended. Voice assistant has been activated/deactivated. Playback has started.

Track has been skipped. Volume has been changed.

Dynamore On.

Pulsing in white| Playback is paused or sound output is muted.
Fast flashing in purple| ShareMe Pairing Mode, the headphones can be connected with another pair of ShareMe enabled headphones.

Getting started

Powering on & off
Press and hold the power button 1 for 1.5 seconds to switch on or off the headphones. The headphones will automatically switch off after 10 minutes without audio signals or user operation. You can change the auto-off timer in the Teufel Headphones App.

Connecting with the headphones

  1. Press and hold the power button 1 for 1.5 seconds to switch on the headphones.

  2. If the device list (memory) of the headphones is empty (there are no previously connected devices), LED 3 will flash blue quickly. The headphones are now in the Bluetooth pairing mode and you can hear a repeating system sound.
    NOTICE
    If the device list of the headphones is not empty (there are previously connected devices), the LED will pulse blue. The headphones are now in the connectable mode for automatic connection with previously connected devices if they are within the Bluetooth range (10 m). If you want to pair with a new device, double-press the power button to activate the Bluetooth pairing mode.

  3. Activate the Bluetooth feature on your device and select “Teufel REAL BLUE PRO” from the list of available devices. The LED will illuminate in blue for 10 seconds when pairing is successful. You can also hear a system sound.
    NOTICE
    Bluetooth mode only works if no connector cable is connected to the 3.5 mm plug. As soon as the connector cable is connected, Bluetooth mode will be deactivated. The headphones remember your last 7 paired devices and automatically connect with them when they are within the Bluetooth range (10 m). To clear the device list, press and hold the power button 1 for 8 seconds while the headphones are switched off until you see the LED flash blue twice.

Information on the Bluetooth wireless connection
The headphones are compatible with Bluetooth 5.1. If your audio source supports high-resolution audio encoding methods SBC, AptX, AptX HD, AptX LL, and AAC, it will automatically play high audio-quality music. The paired devices immediately establish the Bluetooth wireless connection after switching on and are ready for use. When you switch the headphone on, they automatically try to connect to the last connected Bluetooth device. During Bluetooth operation with specific mobile phones, it can be possible that audio latency effects would be audible.

ShareME
ShareMe enables simultaneous wireless music listening among 2 Real Blue Pro. With one of your headphones connected to a Bluetooth device, please follow the below steps:

  1. Press the Power Button 1 and Center Button of the Joystick 7 simultaneously, and the LED fast flashes purple. Start ShareMe on another headphone by pressing the Power
  2. Button 1 and the Center Button of the Joystick 7 simultaneously, when the two headphones connect, the LED is solid on purple for 10 seconds.
  3. Press the Power Button 1 and Center Button of the Joystick 7 simultaneously when ShareMe is active to disconnect the ShareMe.Teufel-REAL-BLUE-PRO-Headphone-fig- \(7\)

ANC and Transparency Mode ANC Mod
Peacefully enjoy your sound in a constantly noisy environment. When you switch ANC On by shortly pressing the ANC Button 9, the LED 8 lights up when you shift between 3 levels and Transparency Mode: ANC High (Cyan), ANC Mid (green), ANC Low (Lime green), and Transparency (White). To switch ANC off, please Press and hold the ANC button 9 for 1.5s and the LED 8 will light up in grey (low brightness). You can reduce the number of modes for the ANC
button in the Teufel Headphones App and thus switch through your favorite modes faster.

Transparency Mode
Listen to your favorite content while hearing the most relevant sounds from the outside world. The LED 8 lights up in solid white for 10 seconds when you double-tap the touch panels 2 or 6. You can also short-press ANC button 9 to switch to Transparency Mode. External sounds are mixed with the music and you can hear conversations or announcements. During calls, you can use Transparency Mode to hear your own voice. Afterward, double tap again on tap panel 2 or 6 to quickly switch back to your previous mode.

Dynamore® Headphones
Dynamore is a technology developed by Teufel. It dynamically enhances the stereo image, creating a wide soundscape. When you triple-tap the touch panel 2 or 6, you can switch Dynamore is on and the status LED pulses once in white. When you triple tap again, Dynamore switches off and the status LED pulses twice in white.

Wear Detection and Hearing Correction

Wear Detection

  • The playback will pause when both sides are taken off and play again when both sides are back on. You could disable or enable the Wear Detection function in Teufel Headphones App.
  • When the supplied headphone cable is connected to the headset, the wear detection does not work.
  • Automatic music playback and resume by wear detection is only available with a Bluetooth connection.
  • The connected device or playback application may not support automatic music playback pause and resume by wear detection.
  • When putting on and taking off the headset, the call is only switched over if the automatic switch-off by detecting the touchdown is activated.

How to Charge
Use the enclosed type-c cable to connect the USB-C port 4 of the headphone with the USB port on a PC or a USB power adapter.

Using the headphones to make phone calls
The Teufel REAL BLUE PRO features a built-in microphone. If the headphones are connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth, they can be used as a headset for making phone calls. Music playback will be interrupted in the event of an incoming call and resumed once the call is over. The following functions are available

Using the voice assistant
The Teufel REAL BLUE PRO features a built-in microphone. If the headphones are connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth, press and hold the center of the joystick 7 for 2 seconds to enable your voice assistant (when not making a phone call). Hint: Voice Assistant can be deactivated via the Teufel Headphones App.

Reset
If you want to reset your headphones to default settings, press and hold the power button and ANC button simultaneously for 4 seconds. The LED 3 alternates flashing in red and blue during the reset and fades out when the reset is completed. Please note that during reset, the Bluetooth device list will be cleared and personal settings made in the Teufel Headphones App will be deleted.

Using the connector cable

Connecting the cable

  1. The enclosed connector cable has two 3.5 mm plugs. Insert the notched 3.5 mm plug with remote control into the AUX In 5 of the headphones.
  2. Connect the other plug of the connector cable to the 3.5 mm jack of your audio system or smartphone.

NOTICE
The Bluetooth function will automatically end once the headphones are connected via the 3.5 mm plug.

The remote control on the connector cable features a built-in microphone and a control button for making phone calls and controlling music playback

Charging
To check the current battery level of your headphones, shortly press the power button. The status LED 3 will light up and show the current level for 10 seconds. The LED color will be white at 60% – 100% and yellow at 21% – 59%. When the LED is repeatedly flashing in red, the battery level is at 1%-20% and the headphones need to be charged. You will also hear a system sound when the battery is low.

Use the enclosed type-c cable to connect the USB-C port 4 of the headphones with a USB port on a PC or a USB power adapter. During charging, the status LED is pulsing in yellow. When the headphones are fully charged, the status LED lights up in white and will fade out after 1 minute. As soon as the rechargeable battery has been fully charged, unplug the type-c cable from the USB-C port of the headphones. When the charging cable is disconnected, the LED shows the current battery level for 10 seconds. Then LED fade-out.

Care and maintenance

Cleaning

Clean the ear cushions and the headband with a soft dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning agents as they may damage the sensitive surface.

Handling

Put your headphones on so that both ears are firmly covered. If necessary, adjust the headband length to your head size.

Storage

Please follow the illustration to fold the headphones up for space-saving storage Use the enclosed storage bag to store and transport the headphones and the accessories. Store the headphones in a clean and dry location.

Changing ear cushion

Grasp the cushioned leather (2) directly and pull it out at an angle. As shown above, there are 8 plastic edges and 2 grooves (3), please slide the cushion under 2-4 plastic edges and aim the protrusions (4) to the grooves, then go around the cushion, click in the rest.

NOTICE
The products, batteries, and ear cushions should be taken to separate waste collection points designated by local authorities at the end of the lifespan. This will ensure that WEEE waste is recycled and treated in a manner that conserves valuable materials and protects human health and the environment

Troubleshooting

Symptom Solution
Headphones don’t power on Plug the USB C cable to charge the headphone.

Headphones don’t connect with mobile device

| Make sure your mobile device supports Bluetooth technology.

On your mobile device: Turn the Bluetooth feature off and then on.

Delete your Teufel REAL BLUE PRO headphone from the Bluetooth list on your mobile device. Connect again.

Move your mobile device closer to the headphone and away from any interference or obstructions.

Connect a different mobile device.

Clear the headphone pairing list and connect again. To clear the BT device list, press and hold the power button 1 for 8 seconds while the headphones are switched off.

Symptom Solution

No sound

| Press Play on your mobile device to make sure the audio track is playing.

Increase the volume on the mobile device.

Move your mobile device closer to the headphones (10 m) and away from any interference or obstructions.

Use a different music source. Connect a different mobile device.

Poor sound quality

| Make sure that headphones fit securely over your ear. Use a different music source.

Try connecting another mobile device.

Headphones pause the content unexpectedly

| If wearing detection doesn’t work well for you and the music often pauses unintentionally, you can easily disable the smart pause function in the headphones app.
Tap panels trigger unwanted mode changes| If tap interactions do not work well for you and tap panels trigger mode changes unintentionally, you can easily disable the tap panels in the headphones app.
Transparency mode triggered unintentionally| This might be related to the tap panels. If modes are changed unintentionally or tap interactions do not work well for you, you can easily disable the tap panels in the Teufel Headphones App.
Switching ANC modes with the ANC button takes too much time to arrive in the desired mode|

You can reduce the number of modes for the button in the app and thus switch through your favorite anc modes faster.

Common solutions
If you experience problems with your headphone:

  1. Check the state of the power indicators.
  2. Charge the battery.
  3. Increase the volume on your mobile device.
  4. Try connecting to another mobile device.
