Mounting the Bird Box
Slide Camera Tray Back into the Bird Box
Once your Wifi Comero is connected to the Nestero App, tighten the screws on
the side of the Wifi Camera ond slide the camera troy fully back into the Bird
Box, making sure the coble connections stay inside the Bird Box. The power
cable should exit through the front right hand side of the Bird Box (as you
look at it).

Remove the Bird Box’s centre panel, and while looking at the live feed from
the Wifi Camero in the Nestero App on your smortphone/toblet, use your
forefinger and thumb to adjust the position of the camera lens under the
camera troy. The ideal camera position is tilted slightly towards the bock
wall. Birds usually build their nest towards the rear of the Bird Box• and
once birds ore nesting inside, you cannot adjust the camera’s position.
Run the power coble under the eaves of the roof towards the bock of the Bird
Box and secure it in place with the coble clip provided. When you ore happy
with the position of the Wifi Camero, disconnect it from the mains power
supply and toke the Bird Box outside.
Mounting the Bird Box
Using the fixing screw supplied, securely mount the Bird Box in your chosen
location and reattach the centre panel. If required, attach one of the two
metal hole protectors to the Bird Box entrance. Run the length of the coble to
your mains power supply, plug it bock in and switch it on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I place my Bird Box?
Different Bird Boxes will attract different species of birds depending on the
size of the entrance hole ond where the box is located. Check which birds will
be suited to your Bird Box and position it accordingly.
Place the Bird Box in a quiet location in the garden; amongst other plants or
trees, ensuring that any nesting birds hove o clear flight path to and from
the Bird Box. Make sure enough natural light is allowed through to the
translucent window panels so you capture colour images.
We recommend the Bird Box faces between North and East to ovoid direct
sunlight and strong winds. If possible, tilt the Bird Box slightly forward to
protect the entrance hole from driving rain.
When is the best time of year to hong my Bird Box?
Gorden birds start breeding around mid-February, so you should aim to hove your Bird Box in place by the end of February, or the beginning of Morch. However, we hove known Bird Boxes put up as late os April to hove success.
How do I clean my Bird Box?
Most nests ore known to harbour fleas and various other parasites, which con
go on to infest newly-hatched or young birds the following year. Old, disused
nests should be removed from Bird Boxes from August onwards (or only once you
ore l 00% certain the birds hove stopped using the nest).
Remove your WiFi Camero from the Bird Box before removing any nesting
materials, then clean the Bird Box out with boiling water to kill any
remaining porosites. Ensure the Bird Box is thoroughly dry before reinstalling
the WiFi Camero or replacing the front panel. Never use insecticides or flea
powders in o Bird Box.
What is the range of WiFi signal for my WiFi Bird Box Camero?
The range is approximately l 5-20m depending on the surrounding environment and performonce of your router. Lorge obstructions, such as garages and sheds con impact the range your signal, so aim to place the Bird Box within line of sight of your router. If your smortphone/toblet hos at least two bars of WiFi signal where your place your WiFi Bird Box Camero, this should be sufficient.
The WiFi Bird Box Camero scans the QR Code but will not connect
First, check that your router is broadcasting ot 2.4GHz. Most domestic routers
con broadcast ot 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, but the WiFi Bird Box Camero
will only function ot 2.4GHz. If you ore unsure what frequency your router
broadcasts, you may need to ask your broadband provider.
If you know your router is broadcasting ot 2.4GHz, follow the Camero reset
instructions under ‘Troubleshooting’ above.
I om scanning the QR Code but there is no audible ‘click’
Top the ‘I heard o prompt’ button and you will see o two-minute timer while it scans. If it times out without connecting, power off the WiFi Camero for 10 seconds at the mains and follow the Camero reset instructions under ‘Troubleshooting’ above.
