Reports Module
Introduction
What if you could access the information about every aspect of your crop, all in one place, to keep track of your progress towards targets? What if you could make comparisons across different varieties or crops for benchmarking and analysis purposes? And what if you could send your colleagues weekly updates at the touch of a button? Due to the ever-growing demand for this type of functionality, Grodan has developed the Reports Module. This module automatically brings together all the information from the other e-Gro modules, saving you valuable time and effort.
The Reports Module
As the name suggests, the Reports Module is the place where you can prepare
reports about your greenhouse performance. This module automatically combines
the available data from all other e-Gro modules, so there’s no need to keep
switching between multiple data sources such as Excel and other systems. The
Reports Module puts all the information at your fingertips whenever you need
it!
The ability to see everything at a glance enables you to investigate the
reasons for any changes in production (such as weather conditions or your
irrigation strategy), conduct historical analysis, benchmark your performance
against targets, and provide your colleagues and senior managers with detailed
progress reports – either as a CSV file or as a printed version (hard copy
and/or PDF file).
Overview of all available data
For each crop, the Reports Module gives you an overview of the variety
name, total production area, and location data as well as all the relevant
dates and substrate details at a glance. Moreover, you can see weekly
information about the weather conditions captured by various sources (Meteo,
Climate Computers) and details about the rootzone conditions from your GroSens
System. You can also access extensive crop registration and production details
which are weekly entered in e-Gro.
Customizable to your own needs
Besides the information that is automatically fed into the Reports Module from elsewhere in e-Gro, you can also add your own custom parameters such as adding data about Energy and Labor Costs sections. This enables you to manually input additional data to tailor the reports in line with your company’s specific needs. The parameters which are added can be also compared in graphs in the Crop Module. To complete the picture, you can add extra notes and images for each crop. Tagging your peers in the Note option to make them aware of something is also possible.
Quick and easy reporting
This ‘How to guide shows you how easy it is to turn all the information in e-Gro into insightful reports for yourself and your colleagues. The benefits of the Reports Module include:
Time savings:
Having access to the available crop data from
the entire e-Gro system all in one place saves you valuable time since you no
longer need to look at multiple systems to find the information you want. The
Reports Module not only presents you with all you need to know at a glance but
also allows you to export, print, and share the data with your colleagues at
the touch of a button.
Customizable:
You can add your own custom parameters such as Energy and Labor Costs etc.
sections so that you can manually input and monitor additional data. You also
have the option to add extra notes and images for each crop. All of this
ensures that you can produce reports that are optimally in line with your
company’s – and your colleagues’ – specific needs.
Performance comparisons:
The Reports Module makes it easy to compare the performance from up to
three different sources on a daily or weekly level for analysis and
benchmarking purposes. You can make comparisons across different time periods,
different crops, different varieties, or even different greenhouses – there
are countless combinations!
How to leverage the Reports Module
The Reports Module displays and analyzes all the data contained elsewhere in
e-Gro, so to get the best out of this module you should ideally be using all
the other e-Gro modules. So be sure you enter your weekly crop and harvest
data into the various modules. The Conditions Module captures data from your
Climate Computer and GroSens system. The Reports Module can be used for
multiple crop types and multiple varieties, and it offers the following
functionalities:
A – Crop Selector:
The crop selector at the top enables you to switch between multiple crops or
add new crops.
B – Lighting:
The lightbulb icon next to the crop selector enables you to set and adjust
your lighting schedule.
C – Week selector:
Click on the chosen week, or click on the arrows at the sides to scroll
through the time slider to your chosen week, to view and analyze the detailed
historical information.
- For each week, you can see all the available data about the crop, meteo (external weather conditions), internal climate, rootzone, crop registration, production, etc. Simply click on the arrows on the right-hand side to reveal or hide the various types of information. Click on the ‘+’ sign to add a custom section (for manual data entry) or to add notes/photos.
D – Compare:
By clicking on the Compare button, you can select up to three sources for
comparison. These can be different greenhouses, different crops, and different
weeks. All the details are then presented on your screen side by side,
enabling you to see all the differences at a glance.
E – Extra options via the 3-dots:
Click on the 3-dots icon to share or archive the data, either by:
- Exporting all the data to a CSV file for use in Excel
- Printing the data that is displayed on your screen at that moment.
Getting started with the Reports Module
The Reports Module puts all the e-Gro information about your crop at your
fingertips so that you can monitor whether your crop strategy is still on
track. It also allows you to make quick and easy comparisons across different
varieties, crops, greenhouses, and weeks so that you can analyze any issues.
And thanks to the Print feature, you can simply print out the information
displayed on your screen to share with your colleagues, either as a PDF file
or a hard copy. By bringing together all the information contained in e-Gro in
one place, the Reports Module saves you valuable time and effort. All these
insights are readily available for you 24/7, optimized for access via your
smartphone, tablet, and desktop. Our Grodan green experts are happy to
discuss how you can start using the Reports Module in your greenhouse or how
to take your current crop steering strategy to the next level.
