FAQ

  • What is a Ni-MH battery?
The cell of a nickel-hydrogen battery is a high-energy rechargeable cell with nickel as the positive electrode and hydrogen as the negative electrode. The advantage of Ni-MH battery is that it has no memory effect and no pollution to the environment. It is an environmentally friendly battery. Compared with nickel-cadmium and lithium batteries of the same size, the unit price is moderate, the capacity is higher than cadmium batteries, but lower than lithium batteries, and the weight is higher than lithium batteries, lower than cadmium batteries.

  • Why choose Ni-MH batteries?

1. Performance- If used in electronic products with high power consumption, the use time of nickel-hydrogen batteries is three times or more than that of alkaline batteries, although the initial voltage of nickel-hydrogen rechargeable batteries is about 1.2V, which is lower than that of alkaline batteries. But as long as the capacity is maintained, they can be stably maintained at a discharge level of around 1.0V, while alkaline batteries continue to reduce their output voltage from the moment of use.t
2. Save money- Ni-MH batteries can be recharged up to 1,200 times, which saves money in the long run.
3. Environmental protection- It does not contain harmful substances such as cadmium or mercury, which is more in line with environmental protection requirements.
  • How to use a battery properly?
1. Check the manual for your appliance to see if your appliance needs designated batteries.

In the event that the manual for the appliance specifically states it needs designated batteries, please do so. Using different batteries may cause the appliance not to work at all or not as long as expected.

2. Insert your batteries correctly keeping the plus and minus pole in mind.
  * In the case of appliances using an odd number of batteries, they will sometimes work even if one of the batteries is set the other way round with regard to the poles.
  * However, this is very dangerous as it could cause heat generation, leakage, or exploding batteries. For this reason, please make sure the batteries are inserted correctly.
3. In order to prevent accidents during transportation, Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are generally not shipped with full power. Because the battery is not full, it may have been stored and self-discharged for a period of time when you bought it. Please don’t worry. After 3-5 full cycles, the battery will reach its best performance.
  • How to charge properly?
1. When the battery is loaded into the machine or removed from the machine, please do it in the shutdown state.
2. Please use NI-CD (nickel-cadmium) or NI-MH (nickel-metal hydride) dedicated chargers. Unmatched chargers may fail to charge or charge insufficiently and damage the battery.
3. When charging, it should be carried out at an ambient temperature of 20 + 5 °C, otherwise the rated power may not be fully charged.
4. A fully charged battery should be removed from the charger to avoid overcharging, shorten battery life and reduce performance.
5. The best way to use Ni-MH batteries is to fully charge them when they are charged and fully discharge them when they are discharged. Avoid partly charging and discharging. In particular, avoid overcharging and over-discharging, which will shorten battery life and reduce performance.
  • How to storage and extend the battery life?
1. The battery should be stored in a cool and dry environment, with an ambient temperature of -20 ,…_, 30 °C, out of direct sunlight, high temperatures and high humidity.
2. Before using the battery for the first time, perform a full charge and discharge pre-cycle to activate the battery.
3. The battery that has been shelved or stored shall be activated once a full charge-discharge cycle for at least three months. Due to the self-discharge of the Ni-MH battery, the battery is in an over-discharged state, will shortening the battery life and performance.
4. Make sure you remove the batteries if the appliance will not be used in a long time.Keeping a battery inserted in an appliance could cause leakage and damage to the appliance. Therefore, make sure you remove the batteries if an appliances will not be used in a long time.
5. When the battery after long-term storage is charged for the first time, the battery’s internal reaction activity will decrease, which will cause the battery voltage to be higher and the capacity to decrease. The capacity can be restored after repeated low current charging and discharging.

Attention & warning

  1. Avoid placing batteries near babies. If a baby or anyone else swallows the battery, seek medical attention immediately. To avoid this danger, please make sure to store the battery out of the reach of children. Always group batteries of the same brand and type

  2. Using batteries with different characteristics such as alkaline, zinc-carbon or nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) together will cause leakage, explosion of the battery and shorten battery life. So it may be useful to mark the batteries with a permanent marker so that they can be differentiated. Just like the green lightning icon designed in our logo, you can quickly identify rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries with this logo.

  3. Do not mix old and new batteries
If mixed together, the battery may start to leak. In addition, the new battery will not perform optimally when used in combination.

  4. Do not damage the surface of the battery

    • Please note that it is dangerous to use a battery with a peeled or damaged outer label, as this will cause the battery to short circuit.
    • Before using the battery, make sure that the battery label is not damaged
  5. Beware of short circuits
When the battery is placed in a metal box or a pocket/drawer that stores metal objects (such as necklaces, keys, or coins), a short circuit occurs. Once a short circuit occurs, too much current will flow, which will cause the battery to overheat, leak .

  6. Please make sure your device is turned off after use
Most leakage problems are caused by forgetting to turn off the appliance after use.

  7. Do not squeeze or hit the battery, otherwise the battery will heat up or catch fire.

About battery quality assurance and warranty

  1. The battery cell suppliers are all provided by qualified suppliers.
  2. Before the battery is assembled into a finished product, all the batteries are divided and matched to ensure that the voltage, capacity, and internal resistance of each cell in the battery pack are consistent, and the overall performance of the battery can be better utilized.
  3. The production of the battery passes the inspection control of spot welding inspection, assembly inspection, finished product inspection and shipping inspection during the manufacturing process to avoid the outflow of defective products.
  4. The company provides customers with a 12-month effective use commitment, and timely repair or replacement if it is a non-human fault.
