Intended Use:
The TV is designed for use in dry rooms. It can be used to watch TV shows on DVB-S, DVB-T, and DVB-C. The TV requires an Internet connection for many features and is equipped with WLAN feature and a LAN port. It should be used with the supplied stand or a suitable VESA bracket. The TV is primarily intended for the playback of TV programs, streaming content, and audio/video material from external devices. It is not intended as an information display or for predominant use as a computer monitor. Extended display of still images or non-full-format images may cause visible traces on the screen, which is not considered a defect eligible for warranty claims.

Safety:
It is important to read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications provided with this appliance. The Standby LED turns off when the mains plug is disconnected. If the Standby LED is lit, it indicates that the product is connected to mains power.

About your TV

  • Android TV allows you to access your favourite TV shows, movies, subscription services, songs, pictures and games.
  • You may use your TV to watch TV shows on DVB-S, DVB-T and DVB-C.
  • Many features of the TV set require an Internet connection. The TV set is equipped with WLAN feature and a LAN port.

Intended use

  • The TV set is designed for use in dry rooms.
  • Use the TV with the supplied stand or a suitable VESA bracket.
  • The TV is primarily intended for the playback of TV programmes, streaming content and audio/video material from external devices. Any other use is strictly prohibited. It is not intended as an information display or for predominant use as a computer monitor. If a still image or a non-full-format image is displayed for an extended period, visible traces may remain on the screen for some time. This is not a defect that can be used as the basis for a warranty claim.

Transporting the product
Unplug the product before transportation. Disconnect antenna cable and other external devices connected to the TV. If the product’s original packaging box isn’t available, wrap it in bubble wrap or thick cardboard and make sure that it will not get damaged during transportation.

  • Standby LED turns off when the mains plug is disconnected. If Standby LED is lit then it means that your product is connected to mains.
  • Do not dismantle the TV. Safety risks may arise and also the guarantee of the product can become void if the television is dismantled.
  • The TV can only be operated with the power cable or the AC/DC adapter supplied with the product.
  • Do not operate the TV with a damaged power cable or AC/DC adaptor (if supplied).
  • If the plug on the TV has an earthing contact, insert the plug only into a socket with an earthing contact.
  • Plug your TV into the mains socket only after you have connected the external devices and the antenna.
  • Protect your TV set from moisture. Do not place any vessels filled with water (such as vases) on the TV.

Fire hazard

  • To prevent the spread of fire, keep candles or other open flames away from this product at all times.
  • Do not cover the ventilation slots on the TV.
  • Always unplug the power plug and antenna plug during a thunderstorm.
  • Keep candles or other open flames away from the TV.
  • Do not expose the batteries to extreme heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
  • Only use batteries of the same type (brand, size, properties). Do not use used and new batteries together.
  • Apparatus connected to the protective earthing of the building installation through the mains connection or through other apparatus with a connection to protective earthing – and to a television distribution system using coaxial cable, may in some circumstances create a fire hazard. Connection to a television distribution system therefore has to be provided through a device providing electrical isolation below a certain frequency range

WARNING

Injuries caused by falling TV
Never place the TV on an unstable surface. The TV may fall, causing serious injury, possibly leading to death in isolated cases. Observe the following precautions:

  • Make sure that the stand or other furniture you will place the TV on is robust enough to carry the television.
  • Make sure that the TV does not protrude beyond the dimensions of the furniture on which it is resting.
  • Do not place the TV on tall furniture that has the risk of tipping over such as cabinets, sideboards or bookcases. If you have no other choice, fix the furniture and the TV to the wall to prevent them from tipping over.
  • Do not place the TV on fabric or other materials located between the TV and furniture.
  • Instruct children that there is danger associated with climbing on furniture when the TV is to be reached.
  • Consider the above-mentioned warnings whenever you change the location of the TV.

CAUTION

Shortened service life due to high operating temperature

  • Do not place the TV next to heating units or in direct sunlight.
  • To ensure adequate ventilation, maintain clearance of at least 10 cm around the TV.

Discoloration of furniture due to rubber feet
Some furniture surfaces may discolor when they come in contact with rubber. To protect furniture, you can place a sheet made of glass or plastic under the stand. Do not use textile underlays or mats such as doilies.

Environmental information

  • Do not dispose of batteries in the household waste. Used batteries must be returned to retail stores or public collection points. You help protect the environment in this way.
  • Do not dispose of the product along with normal household waste at the end of its service life. Take it to a recycling centre for electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Be sure to dispose of packaging materials for your product separately according to the guidelines of local authorities so that they can be recycled in an environmentally safe manner.

Tips for power saving

  • Switch the TV to stand by if you will not use it for a while. In standby mode, the TV uses very little energy (≤ 0.5 W). If you do not use the TV for an extended period, turn it off with the power switch if any or unplug the power cord from the socket. When you switch off or unplug the TV, switch on timer and programmed recordings will not function.
  • Select a location where no direct sunlight falls on the screen. Thus, you can select a lower backlight and provide power saving.
  • Your device consumes less energy when brightness is reduced.

Electromagnetic interference

  • Devices connected to he product (satellite receiver, DVD player, and etc.) or signal emitting devices (router and etc.) close to the product may cause disturbance in the image and noise in the sound.
  • Connection cables used on the product must be shorter than 3 m.
  • If the product cannot perform its function due to electrostatic discharge, the user may need to switch off and then switch on the product.
  • A shielded, HDMI-certified and ferrite cable must be used with the product.
  • If the product cannot be recovered as a result of an electrostatic discharge, user intervention will be required.

Installation or hanging

Preparing for mounting on the VESA bracket

Preparing for mounting on the VESA bracket
Contact authorized dealer to purchase the installation kit.

You will need:

  • A pair of scissors,
  • A cross-tip screwdriver.

Follow the installation instructions for the VESA installation kit.

  1. Place the TV in the film on a smooth surface with the screen facing down.
  2. Cut open the film on the back side using the scissors.
  3. Connect the required cables to the connectors on the TV. See the “Connections” section in this manual.
  4. Tie the cables so they do not hang down onto the floor.
  5. Screw the VESA bracket onto the television and mount it according to its installation instructions.

Keypad

Switching the TV on from the standby mode

  1. Press to turn on the TV from the standby mode.

Switching the TV to sleep mode, and turning it on from the sleep mode

  1. The TV shall switch to sleep mode when is pressed shortly while the TV is on.
  2. The TV shall switch on from the sleep mode when 8 is pressed shortly while the TV is on sleep mode.

Switching the TV to the standby mode

  1. Press for 5 seconds to switch the TV to the standby mode.
  2. Turn off menu shall be displayed.
  3. Press again to select OK.
  4. The TV switches to the standby mode.

Inserting batteries into the remote control

  1. Open the battery compartment.
  2. Insert batteries as marked on the bottom of the battery compartment (2 × Alkaline/ LR03/AAA).

Cursor Control

  • Moves the cursor up and down in the menus.
  • Moves the cursor left/right in menus
  • Activates various functions.

Initial set-up and setting up of the TV

  1. Connect the antenna and external device cables.

  2. Insert the power plug into the socket.

  3. Switch on the TV with on the remote control.

  4. The welcome menu shall be displayed on the screen after a while.

  5. Select language.
    Note:

  6. You may set up your TV using 2 methods.

  7. »Quick Set-up« – If you have an Android phone, you may transfer the network settings and account settings easily from your phone.

  8. »Manual Set-up« – If you do not own an Android phone, you may enter all settings manually.

  9. Resume from article 5 for quick set-up; or

  10. Resume from article 11 for manual set-up.

  11. Select »Resume«.

  12. Follow the instructions displayed on your TV and on the screen of your TV.

  13. The »Services and Terms« menu is displayed when the set-up is completed.

  14. Select »Accept«.

  15. Select »Yes« to allow sharing of the location information of the device or select »No« if you do not want to share the location information.

  16. Select »Yes« to contribute for the development of Android; or select »No« if you do not want contribute to the development.

  17. Android set-up is complete. Press > to view the features of your device.
    Note:

    • Resume from article 25 if you have performed a Quick set-up.

  20. Enter the wireless network password with the screen keyboard, select and press .

  21. Confirm »Log in« with or to continue without logging in, select » Skip« and confirm with .

  22. Select and press to continue after entering your e-mail address with the screen keyboard.

  23. Select and press to continue after entering your account password with the screen keyboard.

  24. Follow the instructions displayed on your TV and on the screen of your TV.

    • The »Services and Terms« menu is displayed when the set-up is completed.
  25. Select »Accept«.

  26. Select »Yes« to allow sharing of the location information of the device or select »No« if you do not want to share the location information.

  27. Select »Yes« to contribute for the development of Android; or select »No« if you do not want contribute to the development.

  28. Android set-up is complete. Press > to view the features of your device.

  30. Press to set a password.

  31. Enter the password »1 2 3 4« using » 1…0« on the displayed password screen and press .

    • »Home« – mode is optimized to provide energy efficiency when the TV is used in a household.

    Important:

    • Keeping the integrated Chromecast feature continuously on increases energy consumption.
  35. Select the antenna type.

Selecting a channel from the channel list

Selecting a signal source

  1. Press .
    • The»Inputs« menu shall be displayed.
  2. Select signal source.

Selecting the volume

  1. Adjust the volume using and .

Recording from digital TV channels
TV programs can be recorded and played only through an external data medium (a hard disk or a USB memory).

Notes

  • Recording can only be done on USB memory sticks and hard disks with FAT and FAT32 format.
  • If the product cannot be recovered in the data playing/sharing/recording mode as a result of an electrostatic discharge, user intervention shall be required.

Direct recording

  1. Press to save the program being played.

  2. Use to select »Start Record« and confirm with .

    • Recording starts and the recording period is displayed on the lower left corner of the screen.
      Note

    • You may exit TV mode and use another application during recording; the recording operation is resumed at this time.

  3. Press for 5 seconds to stop recording.

Scheduling a record

  1. Press .
  2. Use , < or > to select »Program List« and confirm with .
    • The Program List menu shall be displayed.
  3. To schedule the recording of the broadcast, confirm »PVR« with .
  4. Enter the information required for recording and confirm »Add« with .
    • The Program List menu shall display the recording you have scheduled.

Downloading applications

  1. Select »Applications« from the »Home« menu.
  2. Use < or > to select »Play Store« application and confirm with .
    • »Google Play Store« shall be displayed.
  3. Use < or > to select an application from the »Applications«, »Games« category or search for the desired application from the » « item.
  4. Select the application you want to install and confirm with .
    • App information shall be displayed.
  5. To install the application, select »Install« and confirm with .
    • After a short while, the download of the application shall be complete.
  6. To launch the app, select »Open« and confirm with .
    • Main screen of the application shall be displayed.

Starting an installed application

  1. Select »Applications« from the »Home« menu.
  2. Use < or > to select the application you want to launch and confirm with .

Using Chrome Cast (Google Cast) on an Android or an iOS mobile device
You may cast photos, videos or games using an application with Chrome Cast feature or from an iOS mobile device to your TV.

Notes

  • The Android TV and your mobile device shall have the latest version of Chrome Cast application installed.
  • Chrome Cast function works on Android 2.3 and above for Android devices and on iOS versions 7.0 and above for Apple iOS devices.
  • Broadcasting from Google Chrome browser is not supported on mobile devices.
  • To get detailed information on the integrated Chrome Cast feature, refer to the relevant section of the detailed user manual of the TV.
  1. The TV and the mobile device shall be connected to the same network.
  2. Start the application with Chromecast feature from the mobile device.
  3. Press the symbol from the application screen.
  4. Select TV from the list to start playback.
    • The content starts to be played on the TV screen.

Explanation of the symbols which may be present on back side of the television

  • Double insulation. This product doesn’t require connection to electrical earth (ground).
  • Alternating current. This product works only with AC line voltage in your household electricity.

  • AV: Audio/video.
  • CAM: Module for receiving scrambled TV channels.
  • CI: Slot for modules for receiving scrambled TV channels.
  • HbbTV: It is standard for information and services provided through TV signals and over the Internet, and it is an additional service provided by some broadcast stations.
  • HD: Collective term for high-resolution audio/video data, usually 720, 1080 or 2160 lines.
  • HDMI: Connection for high-resolution digital audio/video data.
  • LAN: local area network.
  • VESA: Organization that has developed a standard for mounting the screens.
  • WLAN: wireless local area network.

Cleaning the TV

Pull the power cord out of the mains socket. Clean the appliance with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use any detergents containing alcohol, spirit, ammonia or scouring agent. Use a damp, soft cloth to clean the screen. Do not use water with soap or detergent.
