Dobinsons SS29A844 Adjustable Monotube Steering Damper
This Steering Damper will take approximately 1 hour to install Dobinsons
products should be installed by a qualified installer, and it is the
installers responsibility to ensure correct fitment.
Dobinsons is not responsible for any damage incurred to the vehicle during
installation.
Tools Required
- Spanners and Socket Set
- Allen / Torx Key Set
Installation Instruction

Install the provided bracket with the Allen bolt on the body side of the steering damper (mount close to the reservoir). Torque to 15 ft/lb using red thread locker.

Once the bracket is installed, loosen the 2 bolts that clamp the body of the damper so it can rotate when applying slight force (this will be used to index the reservoir between the axle and the tie rod to gain the necessary clearance). Torque to 15 ft/lb using red thread locker.

Remove the OEM steering damper and axle mount and install the Dobinsons unit with the provided bracket already installed (use red thread locker on all 3 bolts that hold the dampener bracket to the axle). Make sure that the reservoir is pointing UP.

Once both sides of the steering damper are tightened, check for clearance between the reservoir/dampener and tie rod/axle.
When optimal clearance has been obtained, proceed to retighten the 2 body clamp bolts.
