INTRODUCTION
Mr. Cool Olympus Air Conditioner was remote is a device designed to control and operate the Olympus series air conditioners manufactured by Mr Cool. The remote provides a convenient way for users to adjust various settings and functions of their air conditioner without having to manually interact with the unit itself. The remote is equipped with several buttons and functions that allow users to customize their cooling experience according to their preferences. These functions include adjusting the temperature, fan speed, mode selection, and other additional features. By utilizing the remote, users can conveniently change the settings of their Mr. Cool Olympus Air Conditioner from a distance, making it easier to create a comfortable indoor environment. The remote’s intuitive design and user-friendly interface enhance the overall user experience and provide precise control over the air conditioning unit.
Handling the remote control
Location of the remote control
- Use the remote control within a distance of 26.25 feet from the appliance, pointing it towards the receiver. Reception is conÿrmed by a beep.
- Keep the remote control where its signals can reach the receiver of the unit.
CAUTIONS
The air conditioner will not operate if curtains, doors, or other materials
block the signals from the remote control to the indoor unit. Prevent any
liquid from falling into the remote control. Do not expose the remote control
to direct sunlight or heat. If the infrared signal receiver on the indoor unit
is exposed to direct sunlight, the air conditioner may not function properly.
Use curtains to prevent the sunlight from falling on the receiver. If other
electrical appliances react to the remote control, either move these
appliances or consult your local dealer
Replacing batteries
The remote controller is powered by two dry batteries(R03/LR03X2) housed in the rear part and protected by a cover.
- Remove the cover by pressing and sliding.
- Remove the old batteries and insert the new batteries, placing the(+) and (-) ends correctly.
- Reattach the cover by sliding it back into position.
NOTE: When the batteries are removed, the remote control erases all programming. After inserting new batteries, the remote control must be reprogrammed
CAUTIONS
Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types. Do not leave
the batteries in the remote control if they are not going to be used for 2 or
3 months. Do not dispose of batteries as unsorted municipal waste. Collection
of such waste separately for special treatment is necessary

Function buttons

ON/OFF Button
Operation starts when this button is pressed and stops when this button is pressed again. -
MODE Button
Each time the button is pressed, the operation mode is selected in a sequence of the following:
NOTE: Please do not select HEAT mode if the machine you purchased is cooling only. Heat mode is not supported by the cooling-only appliance. -
SLEEP Button
Active/Disable sleep function. It can maintain the most comfortable temperature and save energy. This function is available on COOL, HEAT, or AUTO modes only.
NOTE : While the unit is running under SLEEP mode, it would be canceled if the MODE, FAN SPEED, or ON/OFF button is pressed. -
SWING V Button
Used to stop or start horizontal louver movement or set the desired up/down air ˛ow direction. The louver changes 6 degrees in angle for each press. If keep pushing for more than 2 seconds, the louver will swing up and down automatically. -
SWING H Button
Used to stop or start vertical louver movement and set the desired left/right air ˛ow direction. The vertical louver changes 6 degrees in angle for each press. And the temperature display area of the indoor unit displays “ ” for one
second. If keep pushing for more than 2 seconds, the vertical louver swing feature will activate. And the display area of the indoor unit displays “ IIII “, ˛ashes four times, then the tempera- The setting reverts back. If the vertical louver swing feature is stopped, it displays ”LC” and remains on for 3 seconds.
NOTE : For some units, the indoor unit displays “ON” when the swing feature is activated, and displays “OF” when the swing feature is stopped. -
I FEEL /SELF CLEAN Function
- Pressing this button for less than 2 seconds will initiate the I FEEL function. And if this button is held for more than 2 seconds, the SELF-CLEAN function is initiated. When the I FEEL function is activated, the remote displays the actual temperature of its location. The remote control will send this signal to the air conditioner every 3 minutes interval until the I FEEL button is pressed again. This indicator light “ ” remains on. The I FEEL function is not available under DRY and FAN modes. Switching the operation mode or turning o° the unit will cancel the I FEEL function automatically. Under SELF-CLEAN mode, the air conditioner will automatically clean and dry the Evaporator and keep it fresh for the next operation.

RESET Button
Once the recessed RESET button is pressed, all of the current settings will be canceled and the control will return to the initial settings. -
LOCK Button
Press this recessed button to lock all current settings, and the remote control will not accept any operation except that of the LOCK. Use the LOCK mode when you want to prevent settings from being changed accidentally. Press the LOCK button again to cancel the LOCK function. A lock symbol will appear on the remote controller display when the lock function is activated. -
FAN SPEED Button
Used to select the fan speed in four steps: -
UP Button
Push this button to increase the set temperature or to increase the Hour during the Clock time setting -
DOWN Button
Push this button to decrease the setting temperature or to decrease the Hour during the Clock time setting.
NOTE : Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons together for 3 seconds will alternate the temperature display between the OC & OF scale. -
TIMER ON Button
Press this button to activate the Auto-on time setting. Each press will increase the time setting in 30-minute increments, up to 10 hours, then at 1-hour increments up to 24 hours. To cancel the Auto-on time setting, just press the button until the time setting is 0.0. -
TIMER OFF Button
Press this button to activate the Auto time setting. Each press will increase the time setting in 30-minute increments, up to 10 hours, then at 1-hour increments up to 24 hours. To cancel the Auto time setting, just press the button until the time setting is 0.0. -
TURBO Button(RG05F2/BGEU1)
Active/Disable Turbo function. TURBO/IONIZER Button(RG05F3/BGEU1) Active/Disable Turbo function. Holding this button down for 2 seconds will activate the Ionizer function. The turbo function enables the unit to reach the
preset temperature at cooling or heating operation in the shortest time(if the indoor unit does not support this function, there is no corresponding operation when this button is pressed.) When the Ionizer function is initiated, the
Ionizer/Plasma Dust Collector(depending on models) is energized and will help to remove pollen and impurities from the air. -

Used to set the remote clock. -

How to use the buttons
Before you start operating the air conditioner, set the clock of the remote control using the procedures given in this section. The clock panel on the remote control will display the time regardless of whether the air conditioner is in use or not.
Initial Setting of the Clock
After batteries are inserted in the remote control, the clock panel will
display “12:00” and begin to ˛ash.

UP/DOWN button
- Press these buttons to set the time.
- Forward.
- Backward.
- Each time you press the button, the time moves forward or backward by one minute depending on which side you press. The time alters as quickly as you push the button.
- Keep pressing the button without releasing, the time moves forward or backward by 10 minutes depending on which side you press.

CLOCK button
When the right time is achieved, press the CLOCK button or release the or and wait for 5 seconds, the clock time stops ˛ashing and the clock starts operating. -
Readjusting the Clock
Press the CLOCK button on the remote controller, and the time of the clock display will start to ˛ash. To set the new time, follow 1 and 2 of “Initial Setting of the Clock”.
Note: The time of the CLOCK must be set before the AUTO-TIMER feature will operate.
Clock accuracy is within 15 seconds per day.
CAUTION
Static electricity or other factors (Voltage transients) can cause the remote
controller clock to initialize. If your remote controller is initialized (the
time of “12:00” ˛ashing), readjust the clock before starting the unit.
Auto operation
Ensure the unit is plugged in and power is available. The OPERATION indicator
on the display panel of the indoor unit starts ashing.
- Press the MODE button to select Auto.
- Press the UP/DOWN button to set the desired temperature. The temperature can be set within a range of 62OF~86OF in 1OF increments.
- Press the ON/off button to start the air conditioner.
NOTE:
- In Auto mode, the air conditioner can logically choose the mode of Cooling, Fan, and Heating by sensing the difference between the actual ambient room temperature and the setting of the temperature on the remote controller.
- In Auto mode, you can not switch the fan speed. It has already been automatically controlled.
- If the Auto mode is not comfortable for you, then the desired mode can be selected manually.
Cooling /Heating/Fan operation
Ensure the unit is plugged in and power is available.
- Press the MODE button to select COOL, HEAT, (cooling & heating models only), or FAN mode.
- Press the UP/DOWN buttons to set the desired temperature. The temperature can be set within a range of 62OF~86OF in 1OF increments.
- Press the FAN SPEED button to select the fan speed in four steps- Auto, Low, Med, or High.
- Press the ON/OFF button to start the air conditioner.
NOTE: In the FAN mode, the setting temperature is not displayed in the remote controller and you are not able to control the room temperature either. In this case, only steps 1, 3, and 4 may be performed.
Dehumidifying operation
Ensure the unit is plugged in and power is available. The OPERATION indicator
on the display panel of the indoor unit starts ashing.
- Press the MODE button to select DRY mode.
- Press the UP/DOWN buttons to set the desired temperature. The temperature can be set within a range of 62OF~86OF in 1OF increments.
- Press the ON/OFF button to start the air conditioner.
NOTE:
In the Dehumidifying mode, you can not switch the fan speed. It has already been automatically controlled.
Timer operation
Press the TIMER ON button to set the auto-on time of the unit. And press the
TIMER OFF button
- Press the TIMER ON button. The remote control shows TIMER ON, the last Auto-on setting time, and the signal “HOUR” will be shown on the LCD display area. Now it is ready to reset the Auto-on time to START the operation.
- Push the TIMER ON button again to set desired Auto-on time. Each time you press the button, the time increases in 30-minute increments, up to 10 hours, then at 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.
- After setting the TIMER ON, there will be a one-half-second delay before the remote control transmits the signal to the air conditioner. Then, after approximately another 2 seconds, the signal “HOUR” will disappear and the set temperature will re-appear on the LCD display window.
To set the Auto-off time.
- Press the TIMER OFF button. The remote control shows TIMER OFF, the last Auto setting time, and the signal “HOUR” will be shown on the LCD display area. Now it is ready to reset the Auto time to START the operation.
- Push the TIMER OFF button again to set desired Auto time. Each time you press the button, the time increases in 30-minute increments, up to 10 hours, then at 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.
- After setting the TIMER OFF, there will be a one-half-second delay before the remote control transmits the signal to the air conditioner. Then, after approximately another 2 seconds, the signal “HOUR” will disappear and the set temperature will re-appear on the LCD display window
IMPORTANT
- The effective operation time set by the remote control for the timer function is limited to the following settings: 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 8.5, 9.0, 9.5, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15,16,17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24.
Example of Timer setting
TIMER ON
(Auto-on Operation) The TIMER ON feature is useful when you want the unit to
turn on automatically before say when you return home. The air conditioner
will automatically start operating at the set time
Example
To start the air conditioner in 6 hours.
- Press the TIMER ON button, the last setting of starting operation time, and the signal “HOUR” will show on the display area.
- Press the TIMER ON button to display “6.0” on the TIMER ON display of the remote control.
- Wait for 3 seconds and the TIMER ON indicator stops ashing and this function is activated. The digital display area will show the temperature again.
TIMER OFF (Auto-off Operation)
The TIMER OFF feature is useful when you want the unit to turn automatically
after you go to bed. The air conditioner will stop automatically at the set
time.
Example: To stop the air conditioner in 10 hours.
- Press the TIMER OFF button, the last setting of stopping operation time, and the signal “HOUR” will show on the display area.
- Press the TIMER OFF button to display “10” on the TIMER OFF display of the remote control.
- Wait for 3 seconds and the TIMER OFF indicator stops ashing and this function is activated. The digital display area will show the temperature again
COMBINED TIMER
(Setting both ON and OFF timers simultaneously)
TIMER OFF TIMER ON
(On Stop Start operation) This feature is useful when you want to stop the air
conditioner after you go to bed and start it again in the morning when you
wake up or when you return home. Example To stop the air conditioner 2 hours
after setting and start it again 10 hours after setting.
- Press the TIMER OFF button.
- Press the TIMER OFF button again to display 2.0 HOUR on the TIMER OFF display.
- Press the TIMER ON button.
- Press the TIMER ON button again to display 10 hours on the TIMER ON display.
- Wait for the remote control to display

TIMER ON TIMER OFF
This feature is useful when you want to start the air conditioner before you
wake up and stop it after you leave the house.
ExampleTo start the air conditioner 2 hours after the setting, and stop it 5 hours after setting.
- Press the TIMER ON button.
- Press the TIMER ON button again to display 2.0 HOUR on the TIMER ON display.
- Press the TIMER OFF button.
- Press the TIMER OFF button again to display 5.0 HOUR on the TIMER OFF display.
- Wait for the remote control to display the setting temperature.
FAQS
What is the sleep button on MrCool?
You can press this button when you’re ready to go to sleep. When the unit is in cool mode, it will increase the temperature by two degrees after one hour and another two degrees after two hours. The unit will do the opposite when in heat mode. The unit will turn off after seven hours.
What is the minimum operating temperature for MrCool?
It can heat at 100% capacity at – 5 degrees Fahrenheit, even with outdoor temperatures as low as -22 degrees Fahrenheit.
What is the operating range of MrCool?
Indoors – at the thermostat – on Multi-Zone units the temperature range for cooling can be from 62F to 90F and heating from 32F to 86F. However, the 3rd Gen Multi-Zone 27k and 36k condensers’ operational range for heating is -13F to 86F (outside temperature), and cooling is -13F to 122F (outside temperature).
How much energy does Mr Cool Universal use?
This unit is a 25 SEER which is super efficient and will draw as little as 288 watts to a max of 1,480 watts an hour.
Does sleep mode turn off the AC?
This mode doesn’t produce any cooling effect. Sleep Mode – The sleep mode regulates the temperature so as to keep you comfortable through the different stages of your sleep. Power Saver Mode – This mode saves electricity and turns off the compressor when the temperature is reached in the thermostat.
What is the sleep timer on the remote?
A Sleep Timer is a function in Samsung TV that shut off the power after a
