Take the ladder (A) and turn il upside down so the top part points towards the roof of the vehicle (Hig 1) and the bottom points towards the sky. Insert the lip of the top plate in the gap between the roof of the vehicle and the rear door (door should be close). Once the plate is engage carefully spin the ladder down towards the bottom of the rear door as shown on Fig > & 3. Aller this step the ladder should look like Hig 4. Once in place, give the ladder a good pull towards you, this will assure that the upper part of the adder is flush to the curvature on the top of the doorBajaRack-TY4RG5-Roof-Rack-

  2. To position the ladder in the right place use a lape measure, the distance between the bottorn edge of the rear door (driver side) and the bottom ladder bracket should be 3″ to 3 ½” ( Hig 5), the distance for the top of the ladder is 2″, this measure is between the top edge of the rear door (driver side) and the top ladder plato (Hig.6).
NOTE: you need to play with this distance, this will determine that the upper part of the ladder stays in place and flush to the curvature of the top door.BajaRack-TY4RG5-Roof-Rack-Ladder-fig-7

  3. Remove the plastic cover (Fig. 7) of the aluminum plate (C) and place it on the bracket as shown in Fig. 8. Open the rear door slightly so you can place bracket (13) under the door (Fig 9), check that face of the aluminium plate without plastic cover is touching the rear door (Fig.10)
