Introduction

Regular descaling ensures optimal performance of your appliance and extends its lifespan.
Descaling however has no cleaning properties and will not clean your brewing chamber/coffee chamber nor remove any coffee oils and build-up.
To ensure the best coffee experience, we recommend you clean your coffee machine in addition to descaling with either cleaning tablets, cleaning capsules or cleaning powder (depending on the type of coffee machine.)

RECOMMENDED USAGE: EVERY 2-3 MONTHS depending on water hardness or as per manufacturer’s recommendation.
General instructions (I MPORTANT: Please remove any filters from the appliance to be descaled.)

Instructions for use

For Coffee Machines with Automatic Descaling Function

1. PREPARE SOLUTION: To prepare the descaling solution, place 2 tablets into a separate container filled with 500 ml of warm water and let them dissolve for approximately 6 minutes.
2. Place prepared solution into appliance water tank and fill with cold water to maximum level.
3. Carry out descaling process by consulting your manufacturer’s instruction manual for descaling and rinsing procedures.
4. After descaling: Clean the appliance. Wipe surrounding surfaces with damp cloth.

For Coffee Machines without Automatic Descaling Function

1. PREPARE SOLUTION: To prepare the descaling solution, place 2 tablets into a separate container filled with 500 ml of warm water and let them dissolve for approximately 6 minutes.
2. Place prepared solution into appliance water tank and fill with cold water to maximum level.
3. Place large container under brew spout and run approximately 200 ml of the solution through the brew cycle into the container.
4. Run approximately 200 ml of the solution through the steam wand, if fitted, into the container.
5. Repeat directions 2 & 3 until all the solution is used up, allowing the machine to sit for 5 minutes in between each run.
6. Empty and rinse water tank.
7. Rinse the machine by running one full tank of clean  water through the machine (Steps 2 & 3 with water only).
8. After descaling: Clean the appliance. Wipe surrounding surfaces with damp cloth.

Kettles and Urns
CAUTION: Do NOT the boil with tablets or tablet solution inside appliance.

1. Fill appliance to slightly above minimum level with fresh water only.
   Bring appliance to boil.

2. Once boiling has stopped, place 2 tablets into the appliance.

3. Leave solution for a minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 30 minutes.

4. Empty appliance and rinse thoroughly with clean cold water.

5. If possible, wipe down the inside of your appliance using a non-abrasive, damp cloth.

6. Rinse appliance again with cold water.

7. After descaling: Clean the appliance.
   Wipe surrounding surfaces with damp cloth.
