A2S Dash Cam 50fi
The A2S Dash Cam is a device used to record video footage while driving. It comes with a front camera and a rear camera, a car charger with Type-c Cable, a suction cup mount, a bracket with 3M adhesive, a rear camera cable, a rear camera bracket with 3M adhesive, and a user manual. The device has a screen, camera lens, speaker, working status light, Type-c port, rear camera port, SD card slot, reset button, power button, and microphone.

Important Warning
Please read the instruction manual carefully before using the Dash Cam. Keep the manual for future reference. If the device is damaged, waterlogged or short-circuited, switch off and disconnect the power immediately. Use the power cord correctly to avoid damage or exposure. The LCD screen is fragile and should not be dropped, squeezed or knocked. Do not store the Dash Cam in humid, dusty, super-hot or super cold environments. Dispose of waste products in accordance with local laws to avoid environmental pollution. Test and check that the product is in good condition before using it.

Product Usage Instructions

Powering the Dash Cam On/Off
The Dash Cam has three power modes:

  • Auto Power On/Off: When connected to power, the Dash Cam will start up automatically and shut down when the power is off.
  • Manual Power On: Short press the power button to manually turn on the Dash Cam.
  • Manual Power Off: When the Dash Cam is powered on, short press the power button to make the Dash Cam close/open the screen. Long press the power button to shut down the Dash Cam.

Button Functions

The Dash Cam has three buttons:

  • Setup Button: Short press to enter settingmode.
  • Playback Button: Long press to enter playback mode.
  • Switch Button: Short press to toggle the display of the front and rear cameras on the screen. Long press to turn the microphone on/off.

Powering the Dash Cam On/Off

Auto Power On/Off
This machine has no built-in battery. When the power is connected, the Dash Cam will start up automatically, and shut down automatically when the power is off;

Manual Power On
Short press the power button “ ” to manually turn on the Dash Cam;

Manual Power Off
When the Dash cam is powered on, short press power button ” ” to make the Dash Cam close/open the screen; Long press the power button “ “to shut down the Dash Cam;

Video Recording Function

Loop recording

  • Insert the memory card into the memory card slot and the Dash cam will automatically turn on and start loop recording when it is powered on.
  • The default length of each looped recording is 3 minutes.
  • Loop recording automatically overwrites old files when the memory card runs out of space.

G-Sensor (Gravity Sensor)
When the G-sensor is on, the Dash Cam will automatically lock the current video recording when external force strikes, so as to avoid the video recording being overwritten in the loop recording.

Notes:
Adjust the sensitivity of the gravity sensor in the ” G-Sensor ” of the system menu.

Manual Emergency Recording
During video recording, press the “ ” button to lock the current video recording to prevent the video recording from being overwritten during loop recording.

Photo Mode

In video recording mode, shot press “ ” to take a photo. Photos are stored in the /PHOTO folder.

USB Mode

  1. Connect the Dash Cam to the computer with the Type-C cable. (Make sure the Type-C cable supports data transfer)
  2. The Dash Cam turns on automatically and the screen displays the USB icon ” “.
  3. The computer detects the “AVYLET disk”.
  4. Open the “AVYLET disk”, there are three folders, which are as follows/VIDEO (loop recording files) / EMERGENCY (Emergency recording files) /PHOTO (Photo files)
    • If no emergency recording is recorded, there is no such folder and no recording.
  5. You can copy the required documents to your computer.

Download APP and WiFi Connection

  1. Download “Avylet” APP
    • Scan the QR code below, or search for “Avylet” on Google Play or App Store to to download the latest app and install it on your smartphone.
  2. WIFI Connection
  3. Open the “Avylet” App
  4. Click on “CONNECT YOUR CAMERA”
  5. Click on “go to WiFi setting”
  6. Select “Avylet-A2S-XXXX”
  7. Enter the WiFi password “12345678”XXXX”
  8. Click “CONNECT YOUR CAMERA” again
  9. Connect successfully

Firmware Upgrade

Method 1:
Please contact our professional customer service team and provide relevant information, such as, order number, machine version, your problem with a video, etc. to our customer service team (service@avylet.com). We have a professional after-sales team to provide after-sales support.

Method 2:

  1. Enter the URL: https://www.avylet.com
  2. Click“Support” and select “Download Centre”.
  3. Choose “Update Firmware”.
  4. Select the corresponding model, download the latest firmware file and extract it to the memory card.
  5. After the download is complete, insert the memory card into the memory card slot of the Dash Cam.
  6. Plug in the power and the Dash Cam turns on automatically.
  7. The LED flashes and the upgrade begins.
  8. When the upgrade is complete, the Dash Cam automatically reboots and prompts to format the SD card, select “Yes”
  9. Go to “Settings – Firmware Version” to check if it is the latest version
    • Please make sure to back up your important data before using the memory card to upgrade the firmware to avoid any data loss that may cause you problems.
    • Before using the memory card to upgrade the firmware, please make sure to format the memory card on the computer to ensure that the memory card is stable for reading and writing.
    • Please do not power down during the system upgrade. This may cause the Dash Cam to fail to boot up.

Setting Menu

In non-recording mode, press “ ” to enter the menu settings

  • WiFi
    Turn on/off the WiFi network and check the WiFi name and password.

  • Resolution
    Set the resolution of the recording video.

    • Single Len: 1440P/30FPS, 1296P/30PFS, 1080P/60FPS, 1080P/30FPS, 720P/60FPS, 720P/30FPS
    • Dual Lens: 1080P/30FPS + 1080P/30FPS
  • Display Mode
    Set what is displayed in the screen: Front Camera, Rear Camera, Rear Overlaid, Front Overlaid.

  • Rear Camera Mirror
    Set whether to display mirror screen on the rear camera. Options: On/Off

  • Loop Recording
    Set the recording duration of each video. Options: 1, 3 or 5 minutes.

  • Date/Time
    Set the date/time and date format.

  • Recording Audio
    Set whether to record sound at the same time when recording.

  • Volume
    Set the volume of Beep Sound, System Volume and Playback Volume.

  • Parking Monitor
    Options: Off / Motion Detection / 1fps / 2fps / 5fps / 10fps

Motion Detection
After turning on motion detection, the Dash Cam starts recording. If the picture in the recording does not move for more than 1 minute, the recording will stop. If the picture in the recording moves again, the recording will start.

1fps / 2fps / 5fps / 10fps
After 1fps/2fps/5fps/10fps is selected, the detection screen of the dash cam is stationary for about 1 minute and enters the monitoring state. In this state, 1/2/5/10 frame is recorded per second. When the detection screen changes, the dash cam starts the recording mode.

  • G-Sensor
    Adjust the sensitivity of the gravity sensor. Options: Off/Low Sensitivity/ Medium Sensitivity/High Sensitivity.

  • Movie Imprint

    • Date Stamp
      Stamp the current date onto the footage for future reference.
  • EV
    The EV value can be adjusted to obtain better recording in different light conditions. Options: +2.0, +5/3, +4/3, +1.0, +2/3, +1/3, +0.0, -1/3, -2/3, -1.0, -4/3, -5/3, -2.0
    WDR
    Wide Dynamic Range Mode. Options: on/off

  • Frequency
    Options: 50Hz/60Hz

  • Screen Saver
    Set the time for the screen to turn off automatically.

    • Options: 30 seconds, 1 minute, off.
  • Language
    Set the language for the Dash Cam. Options: English/日本語/Deutsch/Français/Italiano/Espanol/简体中文

  • Driver Number
    9 character driver number can be written

  • Format
    This operation will delete all data on the memory card. This operation is irreversible. If you have important files, please back up your important files in advance before performing this operation.

  • Format Warning
    Set the time to prompt for formatting. Options: Off/15 days/30 days/60 days.

  • Default
    Restores the parameters to their factory default values.

    • Memory Card Capacity
      You can view the total, used and remaining capacity of the memory card currently in the Dash Cam.
  • Firmware Version
    View information on the current firmware version of the Dash Cam.

Troubleshooting

Unable to switch on

  1. Check whether the Dash Cam is powered on or the voltage is insufficient.
  2. Press the Reset button to reboot.

The screen does not show the display of recording

  1. In recording mode, check that the screen display is switched off and press “ ” to switch on the screen display.
  2. Check whether “Screen Saver” is enabled. There are Three modes of “Off/30 seconds/1 minute” in the “Screen Saver” of the system menu. You can change it.

Memory card is full
Delete unwanted recording/photos from the Dash Cam.

  1. Insert the memory card into the computer and delete any locked recording/photos that are no longer needed.
  2. Formatting memory cards
  3. Changing TF card

The operation of deleting files and formatting TF card is not reversible. If there are important files, please back up important files in advance before performing this operation.

Cannot playback recording

  1. Please check if you have changed the file name or folder name of the recording or photos on the memory card on your computer.
  2. Check whether the recording or photos on the memory card have been processed by a computer or the recording or photos that were not recorded by the Dash Cam.
  3. The memory card is defective.
