DL7MST USB SDR VFO Tuning Knob

Product Information: USB SDR VFO

The USB SDR VFO is a knob used for controlling the frequency of SDR or Transceiver software programs. It allows users to change the frequency of the software with ease and also has a PTT (Push-to-Talk) function for transmitting.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Connect the USB SDR VFO to your computer using a USB port.
2. Install any necessary drivers for the USB SDR VFO.
3. Start your SDR or Transceiver software program.
4. To change the frequency, click once in the VFO field or frequency field (MHz/KHz/Hz) or in the waterfall. Use the PTT & Tune USB SDR VFO Knob to adjust the frequency.
5. To program the PTT key for transmitting, double-click with the mouse (< 0.5 sec.) into the MOX field. The rotary knob is now  programmed for this PTT key.
6. Press the rotary knob once to activate the TX mode. Press it again to turn off the TX mode.
7. Note: This procedure must be carried out with each new software start, and the PC mouse must always be in the program window.

Remember to observe the rules of amateur radio when using the PTT function and ensure that power is set to 0 watts with an antenna to avoid damage. No liability is assumed in case of damage.

Function:
With the Version5® of the new PTT & Tune USB SDR VFO Encoder, you can easily change the frequency and PTT keying in the SDR & Transceiver software programs, using the rotary wheel and operate.

Instruction Manual – please read First!

1. Connect the USB-C connector to the PTT & Tune USB SDR VFO Knob Version5®

2. Connect the USB-C connector to a free USB port on your PC.
   The driver will be installed automatically under Windows 11/10/8/7/XP ®.
   You will also see this on the screen -> new device is installed.
   (can be found in Windows Device Manager under “Input Devices -> HID USB Device”).
   The LED on the PTT & Tune USB SDR VFO Knob should now be blue and will change intensity as you turn it.

3. Now you can start your SDR or Transceiver software program.

4. Frequency changes MHz/KHz/Hz
   Click with the mouse once in the VFO field / frequency field (MHz/KHz/Hz) or in the waterfall. Now you can change the frequency with the PTT & Tune USB SDR VFO Knob.

5. PTT – keying: (transmit mode)
   Observe the rules of amateur radio – power to 0 watts and with antenna!No liability is assumed in case of damage!
   To program the rotary knob, proceed as follows:
   Double click with mouse (< 0,5 sec.) into the MOX field.
   The rotary knob is now programmed for this PTT key for transmitting

6. Now press the rotary knob 1x down the TX goes on the air!
   Press the rotary knob again the TX switches off!
   Hint! This procedure must be carried out with each new software start, the PC mouse must always be in the program window!
