Tuatara SSE Annex
Model No. KC077-040
PITCHING INSTRUCTIONS
Your awning includes:
- 1 x annex
- 2 x guy ropes
- 6 x pegs (7mm D X 225mm L)
To make sure the annex stays in place insert the pegs into the ground at a 45° angle, not straight down.
- When pitching the annex, position the vehicle, so the annex is facing away from the wind. Remove the annex from its carry bag, untie fabric ties and unroll.
- Remove the SSE Rooftop Tent travel cover by sliding it from the sail track.
- Locate the back side of the annex and insert the hook and loop track attached to the annex into the sail track.
- Erect the SSE Rooftop Tent by pulling down the ladder. Fully erect the SSE Rooftop Tent following the instructions. Ensure the ladder sits in the middle of the annex and that it doesn’t touch the sides.
- Attach the annex to the SSE Rooftop Tent by attaching it with the zips underneath. It may require two people to reduce strain on the zipper. Once fully zipped, ensure that the rain flap is covering the zip to stop water from seeping through.
- Peg out all four corners and the two guy ropes with pegs and tighten the tri-tensioners to ensure the annex remains securely anchored.
To ensure the annex sits correctly, the distance from the ground to the base of the SSE Rooftop Tent should be between 1700 -1 B00mm.
TO PACK DOWN
- Ensure the annex is fully dry before packing away.
- Remove all pegs and guy ropes.
- Unzip the annex ensuring the zips are supported, so the zipper doesn’t get damaged.
- Use the ladder as leverage to fold the Rooftop Tent in half and then pack the tent following the instructions.
- Remove the hook and loop track from the sail track.
- Fold and roll the annex to fit into the carry bag.
- Attach the SSE Rooftop Tent Travel Cover into the sail track.

- Use all of the guy ropes and pegs included to ensure your annex is secure and to prevent damage to both yourself and the annex. Check guy ropes/pegs daily.
