Double Door Handlesets

Tools and materials needed
- Drill
- Chisel
- Tape Measure
- 3/8″(10mm) drill bit
- 1″ (25mm) wood bit
- Phillips screwdriver
- 2-1/8″(54mm) hole saw
NOTICE 1
- The cylinder with keys is for entry lockset
- The cylinder without keys and keyhole is for dummy lockset
NOTICE 2
NOTE : NO LATCH for dummy handleset.
NOTICE 3
- Screw bag A (longer) for door thickness 45-S0mm(l-3/4″ to 2″)
- Screw bag B (Shorter) for door thickness 35-45mm(l-3/8″ to 1-3/4″)
MARK DOOR
Use the template enclosed to make holes on both side of door face
DRILL HOLES
- A. Drill 2-1/8″(54mm) hole.
- B. Drill 2-1/8″(54mm) hole.
- C. Drill 1″(25.4mm) hole for the DEADBOLT latch.
- D. Drill 1″(25.4mm) hole for the GRIPSET latch.
- E. Drill 5/16″(8mm) hole for exterior handle mounting screw.
NOTE: Skip steps C and D for dummy handleset.
INSTALL LATCHES
NOTE : Ignore this step for dummy handle set

A. Insert latches in holes, keeping parallel to the edge of the door mark outline, and remove the latch.

B. Chisel 1/8″(3mm) deep or until the latch face is flush with the door edge.
NOTE : cut out must be parallel to the edge -
C. Insert GRIPSET latch and secure with wood screws. Insert DEADBOLT latch and secure with wood screws
INSTALL EXTERIOR HANDLE
Place exterior handle with stems and square spindle into latch as shown and press tightly against door face.
INSTALL INTERIOR MECHANISM
Secure and fasten the interior mechanism firmly through the screws respectively as shown in the figure
INSTALL DEADLOCK
- Insert cylinder into outer trim and press against door. Insert the tailpiece horizontally through the latch hole.
- Slide inside mating trim onto tailpiece and secure with machine screws
Note : The keyhole should be at the bottom
MARK JAMB
- Close the door until the latch bolt touches the door jamb. Mark the door jamb as shown with a pencil.
- Center the strike plates on the door jamb
MARK OUTLINE OF STRIKES
- Measure one-half of the door thickness from the door stop and mark the vertical centerline of the jamb.
- Mark a horizontal line through the center of strike
- Where the lines meet, mark drill points.
- Place strikes in position and marks the outline of strike plates
DRILL HOLES AND INSTALL STRIKES
- Drill 1″ (25.4mm) hole in the door jamb, 1″ (25.4mm) deep.
- Chisel outline for strike plates 1/16(1.5mm) deep or until plates are flush with the door jamb.
- Install strike plates and secure them with wood screws.
WIRING DIAGRAM
The following requirements should be observed to keep your locks last longer in finish:
- Do not install locks before doors are painted.
- To avoid oxidation, refrain from using cleansers or acid chemicals to polish or be in contact with locks.
- Refrain from using heavy or sharp-edged objects to scrub locks.
