Product Information

The Solar Panel with incorporated Powerbank is a portable device that can be used to charge mobile devices on the go. It has a built-in battery that can be charged either through a USB charging source or via solar cells. It has a capacity indicator with 4 blue LEDs that show the remaining power, and an LED charging indicator with 1 red LED that shows the charging status. The device protects against overcharging, deep discharging, and overvoltage. It comes with a Micro USB charging cable and safety instructions.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Before using the device for the first time, fully charge the built-in battery by connecting the solar panel to a USB charging source using the supplied Micro USB charging cable.
2. To charge via USB, open the rubber cover and insert the Micro USB plug of the charging cable into the 5V 2.1A Micro USB port. Connect the solar panel to a USB charging source such as a PC or laptop. The charging time is approximately 4 hours with a totally empty battery. After charging, disconnect the solar panel from the USB charging source
3. To charge via solar cells, place the solar panel in sunlight with the solar cells facing the sun. For best alignment of thesolar cells, use the stand and adjust the angle with the adjustable cord. To charge the solar cells on the go, attach the solar panel using the fastening eyelets.
4. After charging, disconnect the solar panel from the USB charging source or remove it from sunlight.
5. Keep the safety instructions together with the device for reference and provide them to other users if necessary.
6. Avoid improper handling or external influence that may cause damage to the device and void the warranty or guarantee claim.
7. Do not manipulate, modify the product, or open the housing without authorization.
8. For cleaning and storage, refer to the instructions provided in the manual.

SAFETY HINTS

• Protect the device from extreme temperatures over +45° which may occur e.g. in cars.
• To avoid overheating of the built-in battery and to prevent damage to the solar cell, do not place the Solar Panel in the blazing sun if it is almost fully charged (75% or more).
• The solar panel is splash proof but should not be permanently exposed to rain.
• To avoid short circuit do not place any jewellery, tools or any other objects made of metal on the solar panel.
• Never leave the solar panel unattended while charging. After charging disconnect the solar panel from power supply.
• If device is not in use for a long period of time, we recommend charging the built-in battery to about 75%. The storage of an empty or fully charged battery will shorten its life.
• Do not short-circuit or disassemble the solar panel and do not throw into fire – risk of explosion!
• Do not submerge or throw the solar panel into water.
• Do no operate or touch the solar panel or the AC adapter with wet hands.
• Protect the device against impacts. Do not use the device if it has been dropped. In this case a qualified electrician should inspect the device before you use it again.
• Do not attempt to repair the device by yourself. Risk of electric shock! When service or repair is required, contact qualified service personnel.
• The device is not a toy! To prevent accidents and suffocation keep the device, the accessories and the packing materials away from children and pets.
• People with physical or cognitive disabilities should use the device under supervision.
• People with cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators or any other elect-rical implants should maintain a minimum distance of 30cm, as the device generates magnetic fields.
• Protect the device against dirt. Never use aggressive cleansing agents or benzine to clean the device. We recommend a soft and slightly damp microfiber cloth to clean the outer parts of the device. Before cleaning make sure to take off from power supply!
• Store the device in a dust-free, dry and cool place.
• If the device is defective or without any further use, dispose of the device according to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive WEEE. For further information, please contact your local authorities.

CHARGING THE SOLAR PANEL

Before first use, please fully charge the built-in battery.

Charging via USB
Open the rubber cover (06). Insert the Micro USB plug of the supplied USB charging cable (10) into the 5V 2.1A Micro USB port (08) and con-nect the solar panel with a USB charging source (e.g. PC, Laptop). With a totally empty battery, the charging time by PC is approx. 4 hours. After charging, please remove the solar panel from the USB char-ging source.

Charging via solar cells
Place the Solar Panel into sunlight, with the solar cells (01) facing to the sun.

CAUTION

• Protect the device from extreme temperatures over +45° which may occur e.g. in cars.
• To avoid overheating of the built-in battery and to prevent damage to the solar cell, do not place the Solar Panel in the blazing sun if it is almost fully charged (75% or more).

For best alignment of the solar cells, use the stand (02) and change the stand angle with the adjustable cord. To charge the solar cells on the go, the solar panel can be attached using the fastening eyelets (03) – for example to fix the solar panel to a backpack.
With full sunlight conditions, the charging time of an empty solar pa-nel is approx. 6 hours.
While charging, the LED capacity indicator (04) flashes blue and the LED charging indicator (09) lights red. The solar panel is fully charged when all 4 LEDs of the LED capacity indicator (04) light blue cons-tantly.

Press the On/Off button (05) to show the remaining power of the solar panel. The blue LED charging indicator (04) displays remaining power as follows:

CHARGING EXTERNAL DEVICES

Connect the device you want to charge, with one of the two 5V 2.1A USB ports (07) using the USB charging cable (*).
For Apple® series products please use the original USB cord of your Apple® device.

With the PB-10000 XL you can also charge 2 devices at the same tim e.

• Press the On/Off button (05). The LED capacity indicator (04) lights blue and the charging process starts.
• After charging is completed, turn off the solar panel pressing the On/Off button (05). Disconnect the charged device from the solar panel.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Never use aggressive cleansing agents or benzine to clean the device. We recommend a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth to clean the outer parts of the device. Make sure to take the device off power before cleaning! Store the device in a dust-free, dry and cool place. This device is not a toy – keep it out of reach of children. Keep away from pets.

DISPOSAL OF BATTERY/ACCUMULATOR
Batteries and rechargeable batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed- out waste bin. This symbol indicates that empty batteries or rechargeable batteries that can no longer be recharged must not be disposed of in household waste. Old batteries may contain harmful substances that can cause damage to health and the environment. As the end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries (under German battery law, Section 11 Act Revising the Law of Waste-Rela-ted Product Responsibility for Batteries and Accumulators). You can return batteries free of charge after use at the point of sale or in your immediate vicinity (e.g. at municipal collection points or in shops). You can also return batteries to the seller by post.

WEEE INFORMATION
The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive, which came into force as European law on 13 February 2003, led to comprehensive changes in the disposal of discarded electrical equip-ment. The primary purpose of this directive is to prevent e-waste while promoting reuse, recycling and other forms of reprocessing in order to reduce waste.
