Care & Maintenance
There is very little care and maintenance needed. The tabletop pizza oven is designed and made of materials that will last many years with normal use. Following these instructions will improve the longevity and quality of cooking. To ensure safe operation of your pizza oven, the area of cooking should always be kept free of combustible materials of any type, such as gasoline or other flammable vapors or liquids.
OUTSIDE OVEN PARTS
This is powder coated steel. It can be cleaned easily with warm soapy water.
CAUTION
The pizza stone must be kept clean and free of heavy build up for the oven to
perform properly and to eliminate flare-ups.
MAIN BURNER
Extreme care should be taken when removing the burner. It must be correctly
centered on the orifice before any attempt is made to relight the oven.
Frequency of cleaning will depend on how often you use the oven. Failure to
properly place the burner over the orifice could cause a fire to occur behind
and beneath the valve panel, thereby damaging the oven and making it unsafe to
operate. Before cleaning, make sure the gas supply and control knobs are in
the “OFF” position and the burner has cooled.
• TO CLEAN THE OVEN BURNER:
- Clean the exterior of the burner with a wire brush for heavy stains and debris.
- Clear clogged ports with a straightened paper clip. Never use a wooden toothpick as it may break off and clog the port.
- Check and clean burners / venturi tubes for insects and insect nests. A clogged tube can lead to a fire beneath, and behind the main control panel.
• TO REINSTALL THE MAIN BURNER:
- lnsert the burner over the main burner gas valve.
- Make sure the orifice is inside the burner venturi.
- Align the burner screw hole with the mounting plate hole (#5), insert screw and tighten.
Check the properly locating the burner with respect to the orifice.
INNER SHELL
(OR ANY OTHER PART THAT TOUCHES GREASE THAN CAN BUILD UP FAST)
Use warm soapy water to clean this area. Do not allow grease to build up.
CAUTION
Do not store propane cylinders in enclosed areas. When using a cover or
moving the grill, always wait until the oven has cooled for at least 30
minutes.
IMPORTANT
First-time use: It is important for the oven to be lit and allowed to heat
up for at least 30 minutes before any food is placed on the pizza stone. It is
normal for some smoke to appear during the initial operation of the oven.
After the initial heating, the oven is ready for use. A cooking spray can be
used on the pizza stone to allow easier clean up.
THIS COOKING APPLIANCE IS FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE USED IN A
BUILDING, GARAGE OR ANY OTHER ENCLOSED AREA.
GENERAL
-
This oven, like all equipment, will look better and last longer if kept out of the weather when not in use.
-
Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air.
-
A clogged tube can lead to a fire beneath the appliance.
-
This unit must be kept in an area free from combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids.
-
Make sure all openings into the pizza oven body are free of blockages or debris and there are no objects or materials blocking the flow of combustion or ventilation.
Check the burner air inlet openings for insect nests or blockages. Make sure the slots in the burner tube are clear. -
When the oven is not in use, turn the control knob to the “OFF” position and Remove the regulator from the propane cylinder.
-
For outdoor use only. If stored indoors, detach the propane cylinder and store outdoors. Propane cylinders must be stored out of reach from children.

- Make sure the control knob is in the “OFF” position. Disconnect the regulator from the propane cylinder.
- Be sure the oven has completely cooled for at least 30 minutes.
WARNING
Spiders and insects can nest inside the burners of the oven and disrupt gas
flow. This dangerous situation could cause a fire behind the valve panel,
thereby damaging the pizza oven and making it unsafe for operation. Inspect
the pizza oven before each use.
WHEN TO LOOK FOR SPIDERS
You should inspect the burners before each use or immediately after any of the
following conditions occur:
- The smell of gas in conjunction with burner flames appearing yellow.
- The oven does not reach temperature.
- The oven heats unevenly.
- The burner makes popping noises.
Food Safety

Cooking Tips & Tricks
IMPORTANT:
- Always dust your working space and tools with a generous amount of flour to stop the dough from sticking to the surfaces.
- Always pre-heat your pizza oven before cooking anything.
- Please make sure to turn the pizza halfway to ensure even cooking.
- Cook your pizza for between 1-3 minutes (200g of pizza dough).
FLOUR
Flour is your best friend when making pizza! It will stop the dough from sticking to your hands, working surface, and most importantly to the peel. (Peel not Included.)
- Stretching the Base
With your hands, generously dust the working surface with flour. Place the pre-made dough ball on the working surface. The dough should stretch easily, so start to create the rounded base by working your figertips from the bottom all the way up. Make sure to leave a 1cm rim all around the edges. Turn the pizza upside down and repeat the process. This should push all the air to the bottom to form the crust. Repeat this (gently) twice on each side.
You can of course use a rolling pin, but keep in mind this will create a denser base.
TOPPINGS
There are no rule here — you can use whatever you want for your pizza
toppings!
We have two helpful tips for you to follow:
- Don’t make the toppings too high, you risk them sliding off the pizza when you place it into the oven!
- Use paper towels to dry out any wet ingredients. This includes, but not limited to, fresh mozzarella and rehydrated porcini mushrooms. No one likes a wet base!
THE LAUNCH
Launching your pizza from the peel and into the oven is the final hurdle.
It is the moment of truth! If you jiggle your pizza off the peel it will
contract, undoing the work you did when stretching the dough out, which makes
the dough thicker than you want (harder to cook through).
Apart from making sure you have a good amount of flour under the base and the
peel, the trick is to have complete confidence. It’s a leap of faith, but you
need to believe you won’t destroy your pizza. To do this, slowly push the peel
into the oven and then, quick as a flash, snap the peel back to the pizza
slides off and remains in the oven. Easy!
THE HEAT
For best results, we recommend heating your oven for 20 minutes on full
heat. If you base is thin, then 10 minutes is enough.
Once heated, turn the knob down to around 3/4 for cooking. The ideal knob
position will change each time, depending on the thickness of your base and
your toppings, so keep this in mind while cooking and remember what position
works best for different pizzas.
