RETEKESS TR625 Weather Alert Radio
Product Information
The TR625 Weather Alert Radio is a device designed to receive weather alerts and emergency broadcasts from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The device features a telescopic antenna and an external antenna jack to improve reception. It can be powered by either 3 AA alkaline batteries or a 5V AC adapter (included in the package). The radio also has a cloning port for data copy function between two machines, an AUX port for output power and audio signal, and a DC plug jack.
Product Usage Instructions
- Place 3 AA alkaline batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment
- Plug the included 5V AC adapter into a standard house outlet. Plug the other end of the adapter into the DC jack on the back of the radio. Prioritize the use of external power supply when there is an external power supply available. (Warning: This radio can only use the 5V AC adapter included in the package. If you connect to other AC adapters with different voltages, it will cause permanent damage to the radio
- Pull out the antenna and extend it to its full length above the weather radio. Please insert the external antenna into the antenna jack if you have it.
- Ensure the radio’s NOAA mode is on by clicking the switch on the back of the radio to ON, and you will see NOAA on the display.
- Set the time by pressing the MENU button to enter setting mode, press the up and down buttons to select Set Time, press SELECT or OK button to enter sub-MENU, the hour parameter flashes on the display, press the up or down buttons until the desired hour is displayed. Then press the > button to advance to minute setting. Press SELECT button to save.
- Set Events by pressing the MENU button to enter setting mode, press the up and down buttons to select Set Events, then press SELECT to enter sub-menu, press the up or down buttons to select All On.
- Set Volume by pressing VOLUME+ or VOLUME- to set the desired volume level.
- Press SELECT button to confirm, press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, and press OK button to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
- To configure the alarm event, refer to section 3.10 of the user manual or contact the supplier to confirm the local receiving channel.
- Set Volume. Press VOLUME+ or VOLUME- to set the desired volume level.
- In the setting mode, he setting are automatically saved. Press SELECT button to confirm, press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, and press OK button to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.

Controls and Features
- Menu button to enter menu options

- SELECT button is to SELECT the desired value or confirm the SELECTed value
- OK is the confirm button and return to the main interface
- VOLUME+/- buttons to control volume
- SNOOZE/WEATHER button can stop weather alert, clock alert and turn on the volume of current channel.
- Press “∧” or “∨” button in the standby mode can check previous alarm information
- If the current button is valid on the current page, there is a “Di Di” sound while pressing the button. If it is invalid, there will be “DoDo” sound.

Icons on the Display
- Rssi: Signal Strength
- NOAA: Indicates when the radio is in weather radio mode
- Menu: Indicates when the radio is in MENU mode, the radio will not receive NOAA while operating MENU.
- Alarm Clock: Indicates if the alarm clock is activated
- Voice: Displayed if user has chosen the Voice Alert
- Tone: Displayed if user has chosen the Tone Alert
- Battery Level: Indicates when the battery level is low

Operation Instructions
Set Time
- Press Menu button to enter setting mode
- Press ∧ and ∨ buttons to scroll through menu to Set Time.
- Press SELECT or OK to enter time setting and hour option will begin flashing
- Press ∧ or ∨ buttons until the current hour is displayed.
- Press “>” to save current hour and advance to minute settings. Press “<” to save current minute and advance to hour setting
- Program both minute digits in the same way. The setting is automatically saved.
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
Set Clock Alarm
- Press Menu button to enter setting mode
- Press ∧ and ∨ buttons to scroll through menu to Set Alarm.
- Press SELECT or OK button to enter alarm setting
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to choose alarm On or Off, the display will show alarm clock if you SELECT on.
- Press the SELECT or OK button. The alarm hour setting will begin to flash.
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to adjust the alarm hour setting. Data is automatically saved.
- Press “>”or “<” to save current value and advance to other value settings (ON/HOUR/MIN)
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
NOTE: You could press SNOOOZE button to stop the alarm.
Set Language
There are 3 languages built in this radio, English, French and Spanish. The
user can select a desired language to use.
- Press Menu button to enter setting mode
- Press ∧ and ∨ buttons to scroll through menu to Set Language.
- Press SELECT or OK button to enter language setting
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to choose a desired language. The setting is automatically saved
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
Set Location
The location code is unique, it is the location information code for each
area. There are 3 options: ANY, SINGLE and MULTIPLE. When it sets as ANY, the
radio will alarm as long as it receives any alarm information “Single” County
Code Setting Only when the location code of the received alarm information
matches with this radio, it will alarm.
- Press Menu button to enter setting mode
- Press ∧ and ∨ buttons to scroll through menu to Set Location
- Press SELECT or OK button to enter location setting
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to scroll through “ANY” “Single” or “Multiple”
- When display “Single”, press the “SELECT” button to enter location setting.
- The first digit of the location flashes, press ∧ and ∨ buttons to select a desired option
- Press > or < button to advance to other value settings. The setting is automatically saved
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
“Multiple” County Code Setting Multiple can set 25 location information
codes, as long as one of them matches this radio, it will alarm
For multiple counties, follow the above instructions. At step 3,
- press ∧ or ∨ until Multiple is displayed, it shows “EMPTY” if the current space is not used
- Press ∧ and ∨ buttons to select any location information, press SELECT button to enter sub-menu
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to select the desired value when the first digit of the location information flashes.
- Press > or < button to advance to other value settings. The setting is automatically saved
- Press MENU or SELECT button to exit the current setting and advance to other location settings
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
Set Alert Type (Display, Voice or Tone)
- Press Menu to open menu options.
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to scroll through menu to Set Alert Type then press SELECT or OK.
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to choose Voice, Tone or Display then press SELECT or OK. The setting is automatically saved.
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface. Alert Type Description
Display
When the Display Alert type is chosen, only a text alert will scroll on the
display. There will be no audible alarm.
Voice
When the Voice Alert type is chosen, the alert tone will sound, then you will
hear the voice of the weather broadcast.
Tone
When the Tone Alert type is chosen, the alert tone will sound for 3 minutes,
or until you press any button.
Alert Test
After entering Menu option, press SELECT or OK button will hear the alert test
tone.
- Press Menu to open menu options.
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to scroll through menu to Set Alert Test, then press SELECT
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
Set Channel
TR625 weather radio has 7 NOAA channels, and the broadcast frequencies are
162.400~162.55MHz.
- Press Menu to open menu options.
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to scroll through menu to Set Channel, then press SELECT or OK
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to choose a desired channel, then press SELECT or OK. The setting is automatically saved.
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
Auto Search Setting:
- Press Menu to open menu options.
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to scroll through menu to Set Channel, then press > button to enter auto search mode
- You will hear a beep sound while a radio station is found. Then press >button to search for the next station. When a valid station is found, it will be stored.
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
Set Backlight
- Press Menu to open menu options.
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to scroll through menu to Set Backlight, then press SELECT or OK
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to choose a desired value among BLT NORM, BLT ON and BLT OFF, then press SELECT. The setting is automatically saved
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
Backlight Type Description
BLT NORM
The backlight turns on whenever any button is pressed and will turn off
automatically after 30s.
BLT ON
The backlight is always on.
BLT OFF
The backlight is always of.
Set Button Beep
- Press Menu to open menu options.
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to scroll through menu to Button Beep, then press SELECT or OK
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to the desired mode between Beep On and Beep Off. The setting is automatically saved
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
Set Alarm Event
All alarm event provided by this machine can be edited. If you turn off a
certain type of alarm, the machine will not sound on alarm when receiving this
type of alarm information.
There are 4 options available: ALL ON, ALL DEFAULT, ALL OFF and EDIT EVENTS
- Press Menu to open menu options.
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to scroll through menu to Set Event, then press SELECT or OK
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to the desired option among ALL ON, ALL DEFAULT, ALL OFF and EDIT EVENTS, then press SELECT to confirm
- When the user need to edit event, press SELECT button when display EDIT EVENTS, then press ∧ or ∨ button to turn on or turn off the alert event. The setting is automatically saved
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
Set Data Copy
The radio supports copying data from one to another to make the radio settings
easier. (Note:The time setting cannot be copied, the user needs to set it in
separate)
- Connect 2 powered on radios with the dedicated clone cable
- Press Menu to open menu options
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to scroll through menu to SET DATA COPY, then press SELECT or OK
- DATA COPYING displays and it meaning cloning data now. The radio will beep after the data reception is complete.
- Removing the clone cable, and press MENU or OK button to exit the setting.
- Press MENU button to return to Menu Setting, press OK to exit setting mode and return to the main interface.
Set Alert Test
If no valid alarm signal is received within 10 days, the machine will beep
every ten minutes to remind the user to check the machine. Users can set the
function ON or OFF.
- Press Menu to open menu options.
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to scroll through menu to TEST ALARM, then press SELECT or OK
- Press ∧ or ∨ button to the desired mode between On and Off, the setting is automatically saved.
Troubleshooting

No Power
| Make sure the power adapter is securely plugged into the back of the weather radio and into the wall outlet.
Make sure batteries are installed in case of a power failure.

the user of those services. Replacement of any transmitter component (crystal,
