OSRAM Sylvania T8 Instant Start Universal Voltage Systems
Product Information
The QTP T8 ISN is a universal voltage system from the QUICKTRONIC Professional Series that offers lamp striation control normal ballast factor. It is designed to operate with 32W T8 fluorescent lamps and can be used with 1-lamp, 2-lamp, 3-lamp, or 4-lamp setups using the corresponding QTPx32T8UNV ISNSC ballasts. The product also supports F40T8 operation with 1 lamp on 2L ballast, 2 lamps on 3L ballast, and 3 lamps on 4L ballast. Additionally, the product can operate with FB32, FB31, F25, FB24, F17, FB16, F30/SS (30W), FB30/SS (30W), FB29/SS (29W), F28/SS (28W), and F25/SS (25W) lamps.
The QUICKTRONIC Professional Series products are commonly used in OEM standard fixtures and stocked products for replacement by trade/distributors. The product is equipped with parallel circuitry that keeps the remaining lamps lit if one or more go out. It complies with the European Union Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (Directive EC 2002/95). The product comes with a warranty.
Product Usage Instructions
Before using the QTP T8 ISN, ensure that the product is installed in a compatible fixture and that the lamp wattage and number of lamps are within the specified range. Follow the instructions provided in the fixture manual for installation.
For 32W T8 fluorescent lamps, use the corresponding QTPx32T8UNV ISNSC ballasts based on the number of lamps required (1-lamp, 2-lamp, 3-lamp, or 4-lamp setups). For F40T8 operation, use 1 lamp on 2L ballast, 2 lamps on 3L ballast, or 3 lamps on 4L ballast.
When using the product, ensure that the line voltage is within the specified range of 120-277V. If any lamp goes out, the parallel circuitry will keep the remaining lamps lit. If the product is used in the European Union, it complies with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (Directive EC 2002/95).
If you experience any issues with the product, contact QUICKTRONIC North America at 1-877-636-5267 or email techsupport@quicktronic.com.

Application Information
QUICKTRONIC 32 UNV ballasts are ideally suited for:
- Commercial
- Retail
- Hospitality
- Institutional
- New Construction
- Retrofit
QUICKTRONIC Professional Series products are typically used in OEM (original equipment manufacturers) standard fixtures and Trade/Distributor Basic stocked products for replacement.
QUICKTRONIC SYSTEM 32 UNV electronic T8 ballasts offer several advantages:
- Operate T8 lamps with maximum efficacy and high lumen output
- 30-40% energy savings when compared to F40T12 magnetically ballasted systems (see table below)
- Parallel Circuitry: keeps remaining lamps lit if one or more go out
- Small Can Enclosure for:
- low profile fixture design
- transportation, inventory and ergonomic benefits
- Lamp Striation Control (LSC):
T8 energy saving lamps should be operated above 60°F, but under certain conditions the lamps may striate. LSC circuitry may minimize or eliminate this condition; however, there are limited applications where LSC circuitry may not entirely mitigate lamp striations.
These ballasts are also RoHS compliant and feature lead-free solder and manufacturing process.
These ballasts are also RoHS compliant and feature lead-free solder and manufacturing process.
