SPECIFICATIONS
Product specifications are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
ASK, founded in 1984, originally conducted R&D in LCD technology for the
production of LCD screens but later turned its focus towards developing
overhead panels for projecting images in larger formats.
In 1991, Tandberg Data, a world leader in data storage products, assumed
ownership of the firm, which rejuvenates ASK by turning its target to
projector manufacture by collaborating with Polaroid under the label “For
Polaroid – By ASK”. The company undertook an aggressive marketing campaign,
building a network of distributors in countries all over Europe and Asia.
In 1998, to expand the market, ASK acquired its American competitor, Proxima
Corporation. Later the company changed its name to Proxima ASA in 2000, and as
of 2005, the company was the second largest in the projector industry. The
year after, the company merged with the industry leader, InFocus Corporation.
In 2010, ASK Proxima went through another round of re-structuring and started
to implement a new strategy to compete in the world market.
Powerful Short-throw Functionality
Short-throw lens empowers to project an image up to 80’’ (diagonally) within limited distance of only 0.5M. Audiences can still enjoy a large image without shadow even in limited space.
RJ45 Network Control
By wired connection to RJ45, the user can control or monitor all projectors in distance by on/off, configuration, viewing lamp time and operating status by entering corresponding IP through internet browser.
Hybrid Filter & Powerful Cooling System
Optimized cooling system: multiple cooling outlets and inlets, effective and powerful dispersion of heat to ensure stable operation even in high altitude areas.
Effective Anti-static Filter
Usually after a certain period of operation, the filter’s performance will
decrease as it is prone to accumulate static charges which draw particles in
the air. ASK short-throw projectors’ detachable anti-static filter can prevent
friction electrification and charge storage. 5mm thick, the filter can guard
the projectors from invasion of smoke and dust with convenient maintenance by
easy detachment and cleaning.
6000Hours Ultra-durable Lamp Life
Philip 215W/245W high pressure mercury lamp features compactness, elevated
brightness, no glare and upgraded reliability, which optimize
to optimize the projectors’ performance by higher lumens and extended lamp
life.
Touch Keypad
Blue touch keypad can bring perfect projector operation experiences to users.
Stylish Appearance and Anti-dust Lens.
Side hidden interfaces design: interfaces are hidden inside the body. With
special routing slot, even if multiple cables are connected, it still looks
neat in order.
Embedded lens protection design shortens distance between the projector and
the screen by taking advantage of the space smartly. It guards the lens from
dust invasion to prevent inconvenient maintenance problem and extends the life
time of the lens.
Real Color Re-production
“BrightEra”LCD panel technology
is a registered trademark of Sony Corporation.
“BrightEra” chip reduces light leakage, enhanced contrast. Inorganic alignment
technology improves panel durability & stability.
Wide ScreenDesign
WXGA (1280800) resolution allows to display 1.3 times of contents than XGA
(1024768). It takes advantage of the screen to the maximum and presents a
better image for words and excel. Presenters will not be bothered by the
height of 16:10 white board as it is the same with 4:3. Perfect match of WXGA
projectors and 16:10 white boards help to present optimal images without
compression and distortion.
Unique Image Segmentation and Joint Functions.
Joint of big images normally requires the combination of high end projectors and screen split equipment’s, the cost of which is high, and operation is complicated; However ASK Proxima can automatically achieve big images joint with several units of projectors without the screen split equipment, supporting XGA and WXGA.
Multiple I/O Interface
HDMI, S-video, PC port, Video and other multiple interface.
