Product Information

The product is a high-performance sound system designed for use in vehicles. It includes an amplifier panel, subwoofer enclosure, headunit/car stereo, and loudspeakers (optional and not included). The SPL measurement indicated on the packaging was measured with a TERM LAB system in the rear of a VW Golf V. The product may generate acoustic pressure similar to that of a live concert and listening to extreme loud music for extended periods can cause hearing loss and impair cognition of traffic signals. It is recommended to drive with lower sound volume to ensure safety.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Observe the correct polarity of all connections to prevent short circuits.
  2. Connect the electrical connections and speaker outputs to the amplifier panel A.
  3. Connect the audio connections from the headunit to the RCA connections L and R on the amplifier panel B.
  4. If necessary, connect the Bass Remote Controller to the amplifier panel B.
  5. If necessary, connect the subwoofer enclosure and fasten it securely with a safety belt.
  6. If necessary, connect the cable connector/terminal strip for remote turn on signal to the headunit/car stereo.
  7. If necessary, consult the manual of the loudspeakers for connection instructions.
  8. Ensure that all connections are secure and observe the correct polarity of all connections.
  9. Drive with a lower sound volume to ensure safety.

IMPORTANT NOTES

PRECAUTION

  1. Please check the included wiring diagram.
  2. Please have the user’s manual of the MERCURY IV amplifier ready.
  3. Before you start with the installation, disconnect the ground connection (–) from the vehicle’s battery in order to prevent short circuits.

High performance sound systems in vehicles may generate the acoustic pressure of a live concert. The permanent listening to extreme loud music may cause the loss of your hearing abilities. The hearing of extreme loud music while driving may derogate your cognition of warning signals in the traffic. In the interests of the common safeness, we suggest to drive with a lower sound volume. Otherwise the risk of accident consists.

  1. Battery +12V positive terminal
  2. Battery – ground terminal (disconnect prior to installation)
  3. Fuseholder including fuse
  4. Grommet for power cable at the firewall*
  5. Power cable +12V, red, 5 m
  6. Ground cable – , grey, 0,8 m
  7. Ground connection at vehicle’s chassis
  8. Remote turn on signal to the headunit, blue, 5 m
  9. Subwoofer connection (CH4 – & CH3 +) cables not included
  10. Speaker connection L (CH1 – & CH1 +) cables not included
  11. Speaker connection R (CH2 – & CH2 +) cables not included
